Thank Ewe
I am absolutely hooked on Emily's color challenges at Splitcoaststampers! This week's challenge, CC99, is a great color combination! The colors are Night of Navy, Not quite Navy or Taken with Teal and a Neutral, white or vanilla.
I had over thirty orders to get out today and I didn't think I would have any stamp time at all!! But, when I checked in at SCS and saw the challenge, I knew I had to try it and I came up with this very simple little creation:
Of course I had to cuttlebug the Not quite Navy! Then, I used my Gina K Designs sheep stamp and colored her Not Quite Nay with prismacolor pencils and blended it with odorless mineral spirits. Then, I cut two scalloped circles, A giga one in white and a mega one in Night of Navy. I punched the sheep out using my Super Jumbo circle punch. I added some ribbon from Michaels and a brad. For the greeting, I used the Gina K Designs, "Thank ewe so much stamp and punched it out using the word window punch from Stampin' Up. Here's how I did it.
First, I stamped my greeting:
Then I punched it out but it was too big to fit in the punch but just the "Thank ewe" part was too small!
So I punched it and then attached the punched out piece to a piece of scrap paper like this. (If I didn't do this step. I couldn't stabilize the greeting to punch the other side.)

Then, I slipped that in the word window punch, lined it up and punched away!
Pretty easy, huh?
This opens up a whole new world on what you can stamp on that word window punch space. It doesn't have to fit perfectly. You can use any size you want!. Soon, I'll show you how to do it if you want to make it longer than the word window punch.
I hope you are all having a great week! I think we should do another contest for something fun this weekend! Hmmmm- tease! I know, I know! *wink!!
Have a great evening!

Love it, asl always it totally rocks! Thanks for showing us how to do the shorter word punch. I was a bit confused about the scrap paper piece, but I guess you pull it off after you have the other part punched out?
