Masking tutorial and more word window punch fun!
I loved the color combination of today's Splitcoaststampers color challenge! The colors were Blush Blossom, Cool Caribbean and Chocolate Chip. I usually don't think of using Blush Blossom but I really like it when I do. Thanks to Emily, I opened my second pack in 6 years! LOL!
Here is the card I did for the challenge. I chose this design so I could use it as a tutorial:

This wagon stamp is one of my favorites because I can fill it with all kinds of things. In my previous entry, I filled it with clovers. Tonight, I filled it with my little sheep.
I began by stamping the wagon twice.

Then, I cut out the body of one of the wagons.

Then, I layed the wagon I cut out on top of the one I was using for my card and taped it down with temporary mono-adhesive.

Next, I stamped my sheep on top of the masked wagon.

Here's how that looked:

Then, I removed the mask:

And here is my finished picture, ready to color:

Then, to do the word window punch extension, I began by cutting a strip a hair under 1/4 of an inch wide.

Then, I stamped my greeting on it.

Now, because this greeting was longer than my word window punch, I threaded one end into the punch to round the corner:

Then, I flipped it and did the other side leaving room on both ends to add brads.

And, once again, here is the finished card:

Here are the details of the card:
Stamps by Gina K Designs- Wagon, Sheep, Wool be friends forever!
Card Stock- Stampin' Up- Blush Blossom, Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Embellishments- Brads by Queen & Company which I purchased at Scrapbook Memories in Madison, WI, Ribbon by SU, Embossed with the swirl cuttlebug embossing folder
Coloring- Prismacolor Pencils, Odorless Mineral Spirits
Also used- Stampin' Up word window punch, and the giga scalloped square punch. I punched two scalloped squares and layered them together to create a rectangle.
*SOME BUSINESS- If you have added my blog to your blogroll, please comment here with your blog address so I can add you to mine. I lost a few emails and lost a few posts along the way so if you would help me get my blog updated by leaving your blog address here, that would be great! (Of course, even if you don't have a blog, you can comment. I love to hear from you. But you already know that! {{{hugs!!}}}
At some point tomorrow, I have a Michael's $1.00 stamp card to post. I was so down because of the cold weather that I came home today and made a bright and sunny card to share with you tomorrow!
Have a wonderful night, (or a wonderful morning if you are a normal person and not still up like us bats!)

Ah-ha, =)
Wonderful world of masking. Opened up endless possibilities... hehe.
I thought I was lazy and straight forward stamping but now I like to explore beyond stamping in black, creativity. I color in as well as color my stamps. I even re-arrange parts.
Yeah! Artist in the making.
