The winners, A new giveaway and a tutorial you're not going to believe!

You have to read this WHOLE post. Really. 'Cause if you don't, you're really going to miss out.

Did you see the banner on Splitcoaststampers? Now you know!!! (some of you already guessed it.) Isn't it exciting? We are doing something HUGE to help children with Autism!!! But you'll have to wait for April 1st to see what it is!! LOL!

What? NO, I am not mean! How can you call me mean when I came up with a way for everyone to be able to make cards with Giga scalloped circles and Giga scalloped ovals...starting today. No really, I mean it. Like right now... Yup, read on my friend!

"Just keep reading, just keep reading..." Remember Dory from Finding Nemo?

Don't you wish you were the winner of that Giga Scalloped Oval in that card?? Well, we have a winner!! It is:

Okay, ladies, send me your snail mail addresses and I will ship those out to you.

So, back to the card. Are you sad you didn't win that fun scalloped oval I used to make that card? Well, guess what. I didn't use one. Nope. I didn't.

Here is a great way to  make Giga Scalloped Circles and Ovals using the Stampin' Up Word Window Punch! (One of my favs as anyone who reads my blog regularly knows and is sick of by now! LOL!)

Here's what you do. First you need a template. I made two for you. All you have to do it right click on these pictures and save them to your computer. Then, print them out and you will have a template that is 4 X 5 and is the exact size of the Giga scalloped circle and oval.

Here they are.

Then, you get your word window punch, (see your Stampin' Up demonstrator. They have thousands!!) and punch out a bunch of windows.

Then snip those in half.

Next, carefully place them, taping one to the last around your template.

Then, punch out a regular oval. You can use a punch or a coluzzle or the Creative Memories oval cutter. Whatever you have is fine.

Add some mono-adhesive and tape that on to your faux scalloped oval to give it strength.

Then flip it over and add the oval that you stamped on and make your card!

Pretty cool, eh?

So, here is my finished card again and my details: (pictured is also a faux Giga circle I made)

Card stock: Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal, Black and white. I used the cuttlebug and two folders- swirls and bubbles.

Ink- Black Stazon

Stamps- Creative Mode- fish, Gina K Designs- Just keep swimming, both available at
http://stampingfreak.com

Accessories- Stampin' Up Markers, Ribbon and Brads

SO- today, you are playing for a Giga scalloped square and if you didn't see yesterday's tutorial, keep on reading down to see a cool way to use that punch too!
We have some more rockin' runner up prizes too, so make sure you comment on this blog entry to be entered into the drawing! If that doesn't work, just shoot me an email and I will enter you.

Saturday teaser- fun and exciting news- We reveal April's guest designer!! Woo-hoo!! She is HOT! Stop back for some gorgeous samples and a peek into the world of our guest designer!

Have a wonderful day! "just keep winning, just keep winning..."

Gina, you are so clever! I love the way you use your punches in so many other ways. I have trouble thinking outside the box when it comes to stamping. Thanks again for being so generous! Maybe you will pick my name today!

Hey Gina, something that might make it even better or something I am going to do, run your templates through a xyron or cover the sheets with contact paper, that way you don't get glue onto your template and they will stay nice, or even slide them into a plastic page protector, then you can wipe it clean! I am going to put mine into the page protector, one on each side with cardstock between to make them sturdy, then I can put it into my 3 ring binder I keep my stamp ideas in! Thanks for the great work!
