Girly Gifts and Text Messages

Many of you know I have two daughters. But you don't need to have daughters to have lots of fun with this project. This jar of fun is great for teachers, co-workers, sisters, friends or anyone who needs a girl's night in.

I began with a quick trip to Target. I wanted to keep this entire project under $10.00. I figured if my daughters wanted to make these for their friends for holiday gifts, as long as they were under $10.00 each, it would work well for our budget.

I actually did pretty well!

I began this project with two more stamps from our new "Festive Labels" stamp set. This circle frame is fun and crazy and fits the mega plain or scalloped circle punch perfectly.

Next, I grabbed another new stamp set called "Text Messages" I love this set! It's so fun for teen and tween projects! And it's got a few greetings that will be perfect for Valentine's Day too!

Every kid I know can type a text message faster than I can make a call! LOL!
I just have to show you this whole set!

I used the two chunky flowers to create some patterned paper.

Then, I used my coluzzle to cut a circle the same size as the lid.

*Quick tip- Highlight each circle on your coluzzle with a different color sharpie marker. This way you'll know easily which circle you are cutting.

Once I cut my circle, I glued it to the top of my big jar.

Then, I added these new "Rain Dots" to each flower. (available Nov. 1st in out store)  These are the coolest things! They come in all different sizes so they will work with so many stamps! They make cute little embellishments all by themselves too. Stick them on patterned paper and trim around them. You can create your own patterned brad-like embellies!

I added a little ribbon and placed my punched circle on the front of the jar.

Then, I made a quick card with my new "Text Messages" stamp set and my gift is ready for giving!

Tomorrow is the final preview day and then the party begins on Wednesday night at 10:00 PM Central time!!!
At midnight, the party will end with the grand re-opening of the all new Gina K. Designs store!

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects. Tomorrow, I have a few more projects to share including one from the new "Tickle you Funny Bone" stamp set! I'll show you a fresh baked treat and a couple of tins that you may not have seen before! So stop back again tomorrow for the final preview day! And get ready to party!!!

Hugs,
Gina K.
