Tonight is the big party at Splitcoast!
The Grand re-opening event is almost here
and tonight, we'll be partying hard at Splitcoaststampers in the Gina K. Designs forum! We're going to have a challenge with a great prize, special coupon codes that you can only get if you're at the party and lots of chat and fun while we wait for the doors to finally open to the all new Gina K. Designs webstore.
The first project I want to show you tonight is a tin.
Everyone just loves to create these cute little tins and fill them with candy, embellishments, coins and more.
But, now you can make them in Gold! And wait until you see what else comes with these little tins at Gina K. Designs.
I began my project by cutting a strip of patterned paper by DCWV from the Christmas pack.
I wrapped that around my little tin and secured it with mono-adhesive.
Then, I took one of my new Waterproof labels and stamped it with two images from "Festive Labels."
I punched it out using my plain mega circle punch.
These stamps will also work with the new Nestabilities dies by Spellbinders.
The plain Mega scalloped circle punch makes a circle exactly the same size as this tin top. We have these tins in both gold and silver.
Add a little ribbon and it's ready to fill with your favorite tasty treat. This makes a great little gift for your co-workers, something fun to tuck in the mailbox for your postal worker, for the girls at the salon and so much more!
But here's something you may not have seen. Our little round tins come with shrink bands so you can safety seal your little treats.
Just slip the tin inside the clear band and use your heat gun to shrink it. Keep the gun moving so you don't burn a hole in the plastic. Just heat it slightly and it will shrink. Be careful not to burn your fingers! When you're done, they are quite professional looking! If you make candles for craft sales, pour them in these tins. The shrink band is a nice added touch.
Here is a picture of the band after it is shrunk. See how nice and tight it looks? Easy as can be!

In my free time, I baked up a warm batch of cookies.
Not! But I did buy them at Target! And I used a few more stamps from the "Festive Labels" stamp set to embellish a mason jar full of fresh baked goodies.
This makes those treats an even sweeter gift. Here's view of the lid.

It's time to "Tickle your Funny Bone" with a new line of stamps by Gina K. Designs. I am always looking for funny stamps. But sometimes I want them to push the envelope a little. Know what I mean? So, Gina K. Designs present to you, the dark side of Gina K. LOL!
This set is called "Way to Go!"
This is the only set my husband wants for himself! And my brother-in-law too. The two of them sat for a half an our and talked about making cards for people. My sister and I just laughed!
With sayings like:
"Way to go!"
"Thanks for taking the plunge" and
"This too shall pass," you can't help but wanna' play with this set!

BWAHHHHHHH!!! Can't you just think about 100 people you want to send those cards to?

Gina, I can't believe I am the first one to view this! I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep so here I am... I just love this set and will be one of the first sets I order. My husband is a plumber and I can see so many cards made with this set! It is hilarious.

Gina, you are a day too late with this set. I just posted on my blog yesterday and this set would have been wonderful to use along with my blog. I just had spinal surgery last week and the pain medications they give you do a real number on your system if you know what I mean. Only thing missing from your set is a jug of prune juice!

The gift tins and shrink bands are the best!!! I can think of so many gift ideas! "Way to Go!" is hysterical! The images and sentiments are so much fun! I have one friend in particular who would love a card made with this set! You just keep outdoing yourself!

OMWord!! I just love those little gold lidded tins. (I like the silver too but it's nice to have the option.) And to be able to shrink-wrap them.... wow! The ideas are flying in my head. And no one would need to know that I made them myself. Oh yeah, I'm excited for the party tonight too. I am a night owl but it's going to be quite late here until the party is over.

The best stamp set ever.....I have actually seen some of these ideas but this is even better. My type of humor. Can't wait to sneak one into my husband's brief case or to mail him one at work!
