Jumping for joy!
Or should I say "Hopping for Joy!"
Today is my birthday and I can't think of a better birthday present for me that to be able to share a few things from our upcoming February release! We weren't going to have a release this month but when we looked at the calendar, we realized that you might want your Easter stamps a little bit sooner than a few days before the holiday!
There is a brand new line of products that we are so excited to bring you! We've been working on this line for several months, choosing just the right items that we feel are of the highest
quality and are multi functional too. Over the next few months we will have many more of these fabulous treats to debut! I would like to introduce you to our first peek at the "Bling & Dazzle" line of embellishments by Gina K. Designs.
Today I will show you one of the two Bling & Dazzle goodies we have for you this month. Our plastic tag assortment is so fun to color with Copic markers or alcohol inks. You can stamp right on the with Stazon ink. You can emboss them, upholster them with patterned paper or fabric, distress them and so much more. Whether you are using them to hang on a gift, to dangle from a wine glass or to embellish a card or scrapbook page, you will reach for these over and over again.
And the best news is, that our free stamp set this month is designed to work perfectly with this tag assortment!
Here is a peek at the full stamp set of the month. It's called "Tag, you're it!"
By the way, we are changing the term from "Stamp Set of the Month" to "The Free with Three set." (Since we have been doing our releases toward with middle of the month, it makes more sense this way.)
This set works great by itself too and of course those circles and the snowflake
fit the Stampin' Up 1 3/8" circle punch as well as the Marvy extra jumbo scalloped circle and the Nestabilities dies.
For my card, I decided that I would
cover it with patterned paper to match my colors in my card.
I began by sponging the ends of the large circle tag with Stazon Olive and Timber Brown mixed together. I heat set it because I didn't want to wait.
I mixed the two inks because I wanted my green to be a little more sage than it was. It ended up being much more brown bit I liked the way it turned our so I kept it. If I didn't like it, all I would have to do is spray a little Ultra clean on it and wipe it with a paper towel. The ink would come off and I would be able to start over. That makes these a little less scary to work with for the first couple of times because you can't ruin them.
Next, I stamped the border stamp by mixing the two Stazon Inks again. Stazon Ink is a great investment because you can use it on all of you regular projects but you can also use it on glass, plastic, acetate, metal and so much more.
I chose the word Joy! and stamped it in the center of my border.
My picture is a little too bright but you will see the cute patterned paper that I used for this tag.
Then, I punched out the circle using the Stampin' Up 1 3/8" circle punch.
I used my paper piercing tool to poke a little hole in the tag and I threaded some gold cording through the tag and tied a small bow. Then, I poked a hole at the bottom and top of the frog's hand and threaded the cording through that.
Once I positioned my two pieces on my card and fastened them, I pulled the cord a little tighter and tied a know at the top. Now, he's jumping for joy!
I also used my sewing machine again!!
The brads are by Queen & Company and the cording is by Stampin' Up. The cardstock is Stampin' Up Artichoke, Whisper White, and the patterned paper is by K & Company.
I added a little stickles glitter glue to my frog after I colored him with prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits.
Are you loving that frog as much as I am? It's part of a HUGE new stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger called "Just so Hoppy!" It's got 24 stamps in it and they can be used for tons more than just Easter. I will show you a little more from that set tomorrow.
On another note- over the months, I've heard from a few of you that you love bigger typefaces on the blogs you read. So, I thought I would make this font a little bigger and see how it goes.
Tomorrow, I will reveal another stamp set and more from these sets too! Plus, I will show you the second Bling & Dazzle embellishment that you are gonna' love!

I use regular Coats & Clark. I buy it at Joann fabrics. I use the Janome mini and it's the medium zig-zag stitch that's right on the dial. I will do small tutorial on this machine this month at some point.

Try hitting refresh. If that doesn't work. Try clicking on the little red X. If that doesn't work, check you Privacy settings. If it's higher than medium, it might not show the pictures. Go to tools, internet options, privacy and then slide the little bar to medium.

Second, I know I'm just one little reader, but thought I'd put my two cents in and say that I would really love to see a stamp set that's kinda teen/rocker style. I don't really know how to describe it, but I was thinking with your daughters being that age, you might have an inkling as to what I'm saying?? I'm thinking sorta Hannah Montana-ish, but more unisex. . .
