Scor-Pal tutorial 2 (and our winner!)
I am so excited that you guys like the Scor-Pal as much as I do. I thought I would show you a little twist on Friday's tutorial. My friend Debbie Olson made this gorgeous card using the Scor-Pal! By the way, when you get over to her site, make sure you remember to come back. You can get lost over there! She makes the most beautiful cards using Melanie's "Just so Hippy" and "Just so Hoppy" stamp sets and she is on our Stamp for a Cause design team too! Debbie rocks my world. Okay, back to the tutorial.
I decided to do a beginner's version of Debbie's background for you. Of course, you can modify any way you want.
I began by cutting a piece of card stock to 3 3/4 X 5.
Then, I placed it on my Scor-Pal like this.
I marker the position on your card with the blue arrows. See how the points line up on the 5" marker on the top and bottom?
The red arrows are where you score. It's amounts to scoring every half inch. But, it's key to start in the center at the 5" spot where your points are. Then, if you have less area on either end, it will still look uniform and beautiful.
Remember, if you are using textures or patterned paper for this. The textured or patterned side should face down while you are scoring so your score lines are raised on the from of your card.
Then, I turned my card 1/4 turn. I lined it up again at the 5" mark from corner to corner and scored again the same way to achieve my criss cross look.
For the focal point of my card, I didn't have a Marvy punch big enough, so I punches two Giga Scalloped Rectangles and overlapped them to make on huge one.
As you can see, I score the edged of my picture as shown in this tutorial.
I colored my picture with Copic markers and added a little fancy bling. Here is my finished card.
And here is a close up of my coloring.
Card details-
Cardstock- Prism, Stampin' Up White, 7-gypsies reef
Ink- Brilliance Graphie
Stamps- Baskets of Happiness
Other stuff and Bling- Gina K. Designs flower and centers- coming soon!!, Stampin' Up slot punch, Marcy Giga scalloped rectangle punch, Scor-Pal, Stampin' Up word winder punch, Copic markers, Stickles

We have winner{s}! Yup, plural!
Okay, so guess what? Diana Crick and I were talking about the Scor-Pal and me kissing her and all that. (You'd have to read the beginning of this post to get that little joke.) And guess what she did?
She offered up a second Scor-Pal for me to give away to you today! She read so many of your comments and was so touched by how much you love and want a Scor-Pal of your own so she wanted you to all have a second chance at winning one? Isn't she the best?
So, our two winners are:

Hi Gina! I did this card a while ago for an inspiration challenge at SCS with the SP! I loved the design. Glad you posted it! (P.S. I just noticed that the front of your card has the raised score lines, while mine is the opposite for a different look!)
