How egg-citing!

I am so "egg-cited" and overwhelmed with joy over how much you guys love our recent release. We have been picking and packing as quickly as possible and I just stamped today for the first time since our preview party! The last three days have been tough for our poor postal worker. After he picks up our shipments, he has NO room left in his truck for anything else. LOL!

It was so nice to make a card today. I used a couple of stamps from our new "Owl always love you" stamp set. I stamped my main image and then used my classic scalloped oval nestabilities to cut and emboss my oval.

I wanted to continue the feel of the branches so I used some Basic Grey Archaic paper and I found a piece that had those long wavy stripes. I trimmed out two sections and posed them on my background paper to look like branches of a tree.

I also wanted it to look like it was dusk or dark out. So, I used a little bit of the Metallic rub-on paste along the edges to accentuate the embossed edge and then worked it in to make it appear as if my owl was sitting out in the moonlight.

As you can see from this angle, I added a little stickles glitter glue to the owl, flowers and eggs to make them sparkle in the moonlight.

I colored my owl image with colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.

Card details:
Paper- Prism card stock, Basic Grey Archaic, Stampin Up Whisper white
Ink- Stazon, Black
Stamps- Owl always love you
Extras- Colored pencils, odorless mineral spirits, Stickles, Nestabilities, brads, Metallic rub-on paste

.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .

This weekend, we will be adding a couple of items into our store, both online and in our retail store. I will post some pictures and descriptions here on my blog and, look for some after party blog candy too!

Hugs,
Gina K.

Cute, as always!!! I'm very confused, though. How did you use your rectangle nestabilities to cut & emboss an oval? I'm a dork, you know!

This is without a doubt my FAVORITE. Last night I was sitting at my computer and I heard an owl - just a hooting away in my back yard.....WOW....NOW THIS! I think this is a sign that I have to drive out to your store this weekend and do some shopping. Look forward to seeing you. Your shop is close-but I never make it out there. Hope you have something still on the shelves! See you this weekend. Kadie

I'm so glad that you had some time to stamp today! Yeah! I have a questions about the metallic paste. Do you use a fixative to make sure that it doesn't smear? Does it just eventually dry or should I just use my heat gun carefully? I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next! (BTW, my son thinks that the m&m's should be shared! What does he think gives me the energy that I need to stamp? The nerve!)
