Sketch challenge

I've been a very naughty blogger. I have so many ideas to share yet I haven't been able to get them up on my blog for you because we've been so busy. (That's a good thing, though! ) We do have so much going on right now. Lots of very exciting things that you will all love but none that are quite ready to launch yet. LOL!

One quick update. We thought we had all the Spica pens in stock but we are missing one color so we are waiting until it comes in to add them to our webstore, just in case you were wondering why they weren't up yet.

So, Let's start with a big question that many of you have been asking.

Question- "What show will you be at in the Twin Cities?"

Answer- We are so excited to be at the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in St. Paul- May 17th and 18th. Alicia and Rina will be with us and we can't wait. We love Minnesota!

Now for some stamping... It's a sketch challenge!

I created this sketch for you to try. I really enjoy making long cards. Long cards give you the opportunity to put more than one image on a card and create some fun scenes.

Here is my card.

Card details:
Stamps- Owl always love you, Just so Hippy, Hip-hop accessories
Card stock- SU real read, whisper white, apricot,  Basic grey cupcake
Ink- Brilliance graphite
Other- Copic markers, stickles, Bling and Dazzle screw brads

I used a couple of pieces of patterned paper from my Basic Grey Cupcake pack to make the blue parts and the angled swirls.

After coloring my images with Copic markers, I had to glitz up my frogs, umbrellas and the puddle to make them shimmer to give them a "wet" look. I used some stickles for that.

I like the angels going in different directions at the bottom to give the card. It gives more interest and makes the greeting stand out.

I still needed a little something so I went for the two Bling & Dazzle Screw Brads and they seemed to do the trick.

If you'd like to play along and try this sketch, upload your card on your blog or over at splitcoaststampers.com and use keyword- GKDLONG for splitcoast. Then, add your Splitcoast challenge card link or blog links here in the comments section so we can all stop by and see what you've made using this layout!

Hope you are all having a wonderful spring weekend! More next week.
Hugs,
Gina K.
