Relax, it's all good!
Don't you just love summer? I love the way it feels when you walk outside and the sun just envelopes you with warmth. After that long hard winter, we deserve to relax in the sun a bit, don't you think?

I decided to make a generic card today. (This way, I can stamp whatever I need inside when an event comes up like a birthday or I need a thank you card.) This card uses our new "one free with 3" stamp set called "You are my sunshine." I like this image. It just screams summer. I colored the drinks with copic markers. To create the background, I used the cuttlebug with DCWV card stock. It has a white core and after I cuttlebugged it, I used a sanding block to distress it and bring out some of the white core.

I used some stickle on the ice cubes so, in real life, they shimmer. I also used my new fiskars border punch to make the slots to thread the ribbon.
We are camping this weekend but I managed to bring a small box with Koh-i-noor pencils, stamps and ink, blending stumps and some of my OMS. I wound up doing a coloring tutorial that I will post tomorrow night with some blog candy.
For another great tutorial, check out Julie Buhler's post for a cool way to use Rupa's new typewriter stamp. This just rocked my socks! I'm sure you'll love it too.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Awesome card, love the bright colors and I agree we deserve a break! Except now it is hot and so muggy it strangles you when you go outside. Almost makes you wish for the cold!! Almost!!

I love the card, makes me want some
lemonade. Also like the pretty bright
colors.
I would like some of Deb woods warm weather. I'm sick of it raining and cold weather. We haven't had any spring yet.
