You want a piece of me? Or a piece of blog candy?
When Rupa Shevde sent me the images for her newest stamps set, Retro Boutique, I thought that the dress just begged to be paper pieced but I had never done it before. I saw how beautifully many of the members of my design team pieced this dress and the purses. So, I took a shot at it.
Like most techniques, paper piecing looks a lot harder than it is. I promise I will post a tutorial on it and when you see how easy it is, you might just want to paper piece every card you make!
This project uses the newest Basic Grey patterned paper pack called "Euphoria" along with Euphoria fibers and Euphoria Glazed brads.
And now, you can purchase all 7 styles of Basic Grey 6 X 6 patterned paper packs and embellishments in our online store! These little paper packs are the perfect size for card makers and they are only $5.95 each. Using just one 6 X 6 sheet, there is enough to do a whole background piece plus just enough left over for the perfect accent piece on another project or for paper piecing smaller images.

I have a daughter getting married in september and i purchased this set because it is all about her! LOL. the purses and shoes are just great! i love the dress and plan on using it for her shower card. we are using the little shoe on the table and the adorable purse to decorate the miniture take out containers we are putting fudge in for her favors at the shower. the set is wonderful, and it screamed out my oldest daughters name right from the start.
now, your card is stunning, the paper is stunning and this is a must have set!

By the way, I have to tell you about the stamping mess I made and how I fixed it. I stamp at my kitchen table (no luxury of a stamping room for me)and was making cards last week when I clumsily dropped my black ink pad upside down on my vinyl floor. Huge mess! I started to panic when neither Goof Off nor Soft Scrub did anything. I got desperate and even tried nail polish remover, still nothing. Then I remembered that I had bought some Ultra Clean from you and it saved my floor. It started working right away and took most of the ink off, but I did have to spray some on and leave it for a few hours to remove the rest. I knew you had said the stuff was good, but that little bottle saved me from replacing the vinyl and from my husband certain irritation. Yippy!!!!

I could just go over the top with all of your wonderful ideas, supplies,classes and helpful "how-tos". This is an entire new world in which to add joy to many lives! Little did I know that there is actully a creative cell or two within that wants to express. Would love to add Euphoria and see what fun happens.
