How about you?
So sorry I'm a day late!
It's always so sad to say goodbye to our guest designers. I have grown to love these girls so much. We've had some great times together bringing you all the newest Gina K. Designs products.
You may see a few more projects from time to time from these wonderful designers and I KNOW it won't be the last time we work together as we have a few fun things up our sleeves for the future.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you and bid a fond farewell to:
Barb Schram
Faith Hofrichter
Julie Buhler
Julie Koerber
Linsey Rickett
Michelle Giraud
Michelle Zindorf
Give me a moment...
. . . . . .
So who's next? What about you?
Over the last year, we've had more submissions than you can possibly imagine. Aside from the many design team submissions through email, I've had so many postal deliveries of beautiful projects that have blown me away.
We've given our design team call a lot of thought since we opened up our rotating positions.
Although emailing a project is good, it's not really a fair indication of someone's abilities. Many submissions may have been overlooked because a photo was too dark or blurry. But maybe some of those designers have a lot more talent than that one photo was able to convey.
Introducing

Starting August 15th, you are invited to be a design team member for Gina K. Designs. All you have to do is post your favorite Gina K. Design's projects on your blog and blog as if you were on our team. We want to see what you've got! We will be scouring the web to find the perfect design team member and put him or her in the spotlight.
We will read your blog posts and we will choose a new "In the Spotlight" designer each month who will receive all of the following month's new release sets. This designer will participate in all of the Design Team events and get all the Design Team perks for the whole month that they are "In the Spotlight!"
As soon as we announce the featured artist for the month, we will immediately resume our search for the next month! There are plenty of opportunities for you! I will also post many of your blog links on my blog and I may request some of your photos to feature on my blog each month as well. Feel free to send your links to us at ginakteam@yahoo.com (Just in case cause we wouldn't want to miss them!)
Q & A
Why are you doing your design team call this way?
Like every stamp company, we want designers that love our products and love to inspire others to create fabulous projects with our images. We can't think of a better way for you to show us that you are that designer and you're a perfect fit.
What if I don't have a blog?
As the internet continues to grow by leaps and bounds, stampers are looking for daily inspiration on the web. A fabulous sample and a recipe is great but stampers are wanting more. They want to know why you like the products you use and they want to get to know the artist behind the art. We've decided that design team members who have a blog can inspire our customers in a deeper way. At this time, we are only accepting bloggers.
If I don't get picked, can I re-apply?
Absolutely! Remember, just because someone doesn't get chosen this time, doesn't mean they won't next time. Don't give up !
I still have so many things to share with you. I have a few promotions to tell you about and I still have more CHA pictures and the picture of my special gift from Tim Holtz! Hang in there with me over the next couple of weeks. The kids swim schedule is jam packed right now! But After August 10th, I will be back in action.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Gina, I can't wait to see the untapped talent waiting to be revealed! What a fun way for people to get to try things out and send them to you! I am simply amazed at all the talent that is out there.
Now when you have a call for the tiredest mom or the weirdest gluten free recipe, maybe I can enter that one! LOL!

What a great idea. I guess I need to start using my blog more regularly and try to get some traffic so I can participate. I so *heart* Gina's stamps and would love to have enough talent to be considered in the spotlight. I can't wait to see all the talented people who will make it into the spotlight. And it is very sad to see the current designers leave.

Neat idea! I have been thinking about starting a blog - now I guess I have a really good reason to. I'll miss the first deadline because we are going on a trip - but when I get back I'll start a blog!! Thanks for the push I needed!!

I will dearly miss all the current designers. This is even more exciting, because it is the anticipation of who is going to be next. Feel sorry for you since there is so much talent out there. I know of one that you may want to start watching. She won 2 of your stamp sets last month

good luck everyone that will be trying out. there is a ton of talent out there and I know gina will find some good ones. Will miss the current team but like the idea of freshness coming in with new ideas.

Gina---I LOVE this idea! I think it's a great way to see how your new designer will actually present your products! What a great way for little known stampers to get "in the spotlight"!

i'm disappointed to find out that you MUST use your product AND have a blog. nothing like not giving everyone a fair chance...

liru,
The reason we chose to do it this way is because we really want design team members who love our products. We also want to see what people can do with our images.
Most companies are now using designers who have blogs and, fortunately, there are free blogs available through blogger.com so nobody has to be left out if they want to design for us.
Feel free to post a request in our forum at splitcoast for stamped images. I'm sure someone would be happy to send you a few if you are serious about designing for us.
Hugs,
Gina K.

I know this says it starts on the 15th, but I already started! LOL! I am excited about this way of icking a design team because this way I can "pretend" I'm part of the team already, and get a taste of how it'd be to blog as part of the team!
