Coneflower Harvest
Today was such a fun day! The girls and I went out to lunch and then we went shopping for school supplies. I think new school supplies to them are the closest thing to new stamping supplies for me! LOL! My girls love picking just the right colored notebooks, folders to match and of course, brand new markers and colored pencils. It's also a great time to pick up a few extra things to save for embellishing later.
After we got home, the girls went to work putting their supplies together in their backpacks and I got a few minutes to stamp! Woo-hoo!
For this project I decided to use the Happy Harvest stamp set.

I used some of the new Eva paper by Basic Grey. I mixed in some Archaic Basic Grey brads and they match really well. The corners were created using the EK success curved corner punch.

I colored the flower image with copic markers and used some metallic rub-on paste to accent my greeting. The greeting was cut and embossed using the ribbon tag dies from Spellbinders.
I really had fun with this sketch. I sliced a couple of wonky angles in the patterned paper and they ended up looking pretty cool.
I hope you get a little bit of stamping time in this weekend!
We are headed to our little trailer by the lake for a little family fun.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Susan,
I just use my finger and rub lightly over the whole thing or the edge depending on what look I'm going for.

Gina,
You have such an eye for color. I just wish I lived close enough to come spend days at your store. I don't know how you do it all- family, a thriving business, and you still have a beautiful creative spirit! God has blessed you! Darlene

Gina, this card is beautiful and the color combination is just WOW! We have several coneflowers planted in view of our living room picture windows, where we enjoy watching the goldfinches feeding on the seedheads. Of course, our two housecoats, Duncan and Lila, enjoy watching as well!
Our daughter is 24 and beginning her career as a teacher. She gets so excited to buy new school supplies, you would think she was a student. LOL!

Hi I love this, but more importantly I LOVE what you've done with copics. I had also read that you have a club? Does it still function as I'd really really really like more information on it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your creations!
