Vine ripened tomatoes
This month's One free with 3 stamp set is "Summer Harvest" and with only 1 1/2 weeks left to get it free with the purchase of any three stamp sets, I thought I would pull it out to show you a fun, inexpensive product that I just love. And yes, I had to use the Basic Grey Ambrosia paper again. LOL!

I began with three pieces of patterned paper from the Ambrosia paper pack and sliced them up to mount on a piece of Stampin' Up's basic black. Again, I used the EK success curved corner punch. Can you tell that I am a little addicted to that punch right now?
I used the tomato stamp from Summer Harvest and masked it off to stamp three of them. For a tutorial on how to do the masking technique, click here- MASKING.
I colored the tomatoes with Copic Markers. I only used three markers, an orange, a yellow and a green. Then, I pulled color off of the leaves with the blender pen to make the lighter spots.

I really liked the way this looked so I took the photos for this blog entry. But then, (because I can never leave well enough alone,) I wanted to see what those juicy tomatoes would look like with Crystal Lacquer on them. Crystal Lacquer is so easy to use that you can't even really do a tutorial on it. You just tip the bottle over and squeeze a little on and use the tip to spread it around. Too easy! I like to squeeze the Crystal lacquer into these applicator bottles. They are a little easier to work with.
Here is what the tomatoes looked like after I added the Crystal Lacquer.

Don't they look so much more real!! I love how the color pops. Once they are dry, they are smooth and shiny and they have great dimension. Here's another view with the card tilted a little into the light so you can see more of the dimension.

Crystal lacquer looks great on so many things. It's fun and super easy to use.
