Featured.
You know how you have those special friends. You know the friends I'm talking about. They are the friends who you call the minute something good or bad happens. They are the friends who cry with you and celebrate with you.
Well, that is one of the things I LOVE about having this blog. I feel like you guys are my best friends. Instead of picking up the phone to call someone, I run over to the blog to share my news with you.
This month, I am in the "Designer Spotlight" at Scrap & Stamp arts magazine, one on my favorite stamping magazines. Why do I love this magazine so much? Well, there's a LOT of stamping going on here. Plus, they do fabulous tutorials and have huge vibrant pictures by many of the brilliant concept artists you have come to know and love.
When Kelly called me back in the winter to ask me if it would be okay to do a feature article on me, I think I was in shock!
She is such a sweetheart and asked me what part of my business we should focus on. We agreed that we should feature the most important part of Gina K. Designs- "Stamps for a Cause." I gave her some notes and she created a beautiful article.
There is also a whole page of card projects that I created featuring many of our Stamps for a Cause stamp sets.
You can pick up this magazine at many craft, stamping and scrapbooking stores as well as all the major book stores- even my grocery store has this one!
I had to share with you, my girlfriends! LOL! Now, maybe I should go call my Mom.

Gina, I feel the same way about your blog every day. It's like an email from a friend and I open it right away to see what's new with Gina! It doesn't surprise me at all that they would want to feature you ~ your store, blog, tutorials... and your sweet, kind and generous heart ... make you an obvious choice to me. What an honor to be featured on "Designer Spotlight". Congratulations. This just proves that you are definitely a viable source in the stamping world. But I knew that already. Your GinaK online store is an important source for me to get items that I can't find here or have to wait months for any store to bring in. And your blog is a learning source for different ideas that you create on your cards. I don't have to go to far from home with you just a few keys away. Again, congrats. Now to find a em source where I can get a copy of that magazine so I can read and be proud of you.

Hi Gina. Gotta giggle - I was in WalMart the other day and there was ONE copy of that magazine and I picked it up just sort of looking at it. I came to the article about you and I sort of gasped and exclaimed to myself (sort of!) that I know her! You know those little noises you can make and don't know you are doing them! Nobody was in the aisle with me but I sure put the magainze in my basket and hurried home to read it. Congratulation! I hope to buy more of your stamps in the future. Thanks for all your great ideas.
