Bleached Autumn Leaves
I showed Jessica this project this morning and she asked me if I was doing a lot of laundry lately. LOL! It seems that way since I've had the bleach out. Unfortunately as the laundry is piling up in the corner, I'm stamping away in my stamp room.
This morning, I pulled out the "One free with 3" stamp set, Autumn Leaves. (You still have a few days left to get this set free with the purchase of any three sets.)

This card was way easier to make than it looks.I stamped random leaves on a piece of Stampin' Up really rust card stock using VersaMark. Then, I used some Ranger super fine detail black embossing powder. This embossing powder is fabulous for capturing the finest details in your stamped images. (Everything that Tim Holtz recommends is always top quality. And I LOVE Ranger products anyway!)
You will find this embossing powder in four colors in our online store on October 2nd with our new release. We've been carrying in our retail store and it is surely a customer favorite.
Then, I dipped a Niji brush into some regular old household bleach and painted on my leaves. If you run your heat tool over it, it really brightens the bleached areas.
To mount it, I cut the leaves into three slices and then separated it slightly as I attached it to the black mat behind it.

The background paper is by Core'dinations. We will be getting Core'dinations in during one of our upcoming releases. All of the samples they sent me are just fabulous!! I can't wait until it all arrives AND we've picked the perfect size for cardmaking.
I punched the Flourishes out of Stampin' Up Basic Black.
After adding the brads, I stamped the greeting- also from the Autumn Leaves stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed today's project.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Wow, another amazing card. I love the bleached leaves and the punched scrolls peaking our from the back. I am so excited about all of the cool things you are adding to your store. You are truly becoming the one stop shop for me. You have everything I need. If you started offering Starbuck'es Venti Peppermint Mocha with Chocolate Whipped Cream I would not need to go any where else for anything.

I love this card and was intrigued that you said the Ranger black ep was so good. The black ep I have clings to the paper in little specks (even after using the rosin bag) so I have been using black ink with clear ep. Does the Ranger ep come off of the paper good? Or will be using this on our cruise? Thanks.

Wow, beautiful card. Do you only use that waterbrush for bleach? Or can you rinse it out and then use it for everything? Also that flourish is gorgeous.

Okay ... I have to speak up ... again. *wink*
I LOVE the way you have used the black embossing. Love the automatic limits it applies to other colors. And what a super cool overall project!
Happy Fall, Gina!

I have to try those bleaching techniques... it's pretty cool that the embossing powder stands up to the bleach!

Beautiful card. I've always been a little squeamish about using bleach for cards/stamping, but this could change my mind. Love the colors and the background paper.
