Preview Party- Day 1

How exciting that the holidays are just around the corner and it's time to begin planning for all of the season's festivities!

This is truly my favorite time of the year. Last week, I started to plan the Gina K. Design's holiday party. While talking about it at the store, I started thinking about traditions.

I remember being a little girl and going with my Mom to the gift shop that featured Hallmark cards. My mother would take a long time looking over every box to find just the right Christmas cards to send to family, friends and neighbors. Her list was long so she always had to buy quite a few boxes. I noticed how every year, she choose something crisp and clean. That was her style.

So, I'll begin my preview with a crisp and clean card featuring the newest stamp set by Rupa Shevde called "The Magic of Christmas."

This card was so fun to make.  Have you tried this yet? It has five layers, all cream colored. Even the brads are cream. The only other color comes from our new Ranger Super fine gold embossing powder.

This embossing powder is so delicate that it even picks up the fine detail of this reindeer's collar. It comes in 4 colors- gold, silver, black and clear and will retail for $3.99 for a 1 oz. jar. (I have been embossing like crazy lately with all of my bleaching projects and no matter how detailed the images are, this powder has not let me down.)

You might have also noticed the only other splash of color on that card is the beautiful gold cording that's so hard to find these days!

Introducing Pure Luxury Cording by Gina K. Designs.

This cording is the perfect thickness for all of your holiday projects. It comes in both gold and silver rolls. I have been searching for the right cording that doesn't fray easily and that's not too flimsy. You will love our cording and it's only $2.49 a roll for 10 yards!
.  .  .  .  .

As most families have a more traditional holiday feast such as turkey or ham, my family has had a tradition of preparing a holiday dinner of Alaskan snow crab legs. (Not the usual Christmas turkey with all the trimmings, huh? But, oh, is it ever tasty!)

This tradition was started my Dad, (better known as Pop-pop.) He grew up in New York and his Mom and Dad owned a fish market.

So, I thought it would be nice to prepare a special table this year, complete with menus that everyone could keep as a memory of our Christmas dinner tradition.

All stamped images are from "The Magic of Christmas" stamp set by Rupa Shevde for Gina K. Designs.
.  .  .  .  .

More Luxury.

Christmas cards and projects would not be complete without some beautiful embellishments and we have quite a few new ones for you this release.

But one of my favorite new embellishments that we are introducing this month is the first in a series.

Introducing Pure Luxury Ribbon by Gina K. Designs.

Our first ribbon pack is simply called "Holiday." It is the most luxurious ribbon you will ever touch! This pack contains satin, grosgrain and organdy ribbon.

Here is a sample of each of the twelve different styles and colors of ribbon that are loaded into this holiday pack.

We begin with the greens.

It was difficult to capture the beauty of this ribbon on camera. In the greens, you will find 1/2 inch satin, 5/8th inch organdy, 3/8th inch grosgrain, (My favorite width for grosgrain!) and 5/8th inch satin with gold trim. (The picture does not pick up the gold trim well at all and when you feel how soft this gold trimmed ribbon is, you won't believe it!)

Next, we have the reds.

There is a 5/8th inch satin dot, a 1/2 inch satin, 5/8th inch organdy and a 3/8th inch grosgrain. This red matches Stampin' Up's Real Red perfectly!

And the last color in this pack is white.

The sizes and styles in the whites are the same as the greens. We do have an all-white collection coming in the near future, complete with a few tutorials on how to color it to match any card stock and embellishments.

The Pure Luxury Ribbon Holiday collection comes complete with 12 yards of ribbon, 1 yard of each color and style for only $5.95!
.  .  .  .  .

The last preview for today is a stamp set by Gina K. Designs and it's called "Warm and Cozy Christmas."

If you love to color, this will be a fun stamp set for you. You can see some of the Pure Luxury ribbon behind that scalloped circle.

I chose the 'little girl and snowman' image and colored them with Copic markers. I added a little stickles to make the snow shiny.

You may have already noticed but in both stamp sets, we have greetings that fit perfectly inside the nestabilities double ended tags dies. You will see that many other greeting in all of this month's stamp sets fit different nestabilities dies. This makes it easier for you to put greetings on your cards even when you're using bright holiday patterned paper.

You are going to just love the crisp images you will get from these stamps. Our unmounted rubber is already attached to EZ mount. When you use these stamps with acrylic blocks, it allows for easy straight placement with the crisp detailed results that you can only get from high quality, deeply etched rubber.
.  .  .  .  .
I hope you've enjoyed preview day one and today's preview stamp sets!
Would you like to win one of these two new sets?
Enter a comment here on this post and tomorrow, I will randomly choose two winners and announce them here on my blog.

The first two sets you have shown are just wonderful. I would love the chance to win one. Our family has a tradition for Christmas morning. Once all the presents are open we have a breakfast of sausage, egg and cheese casserole with homemade orange cranberry muffins. I prepare the casserole the night before and have it cook while we unwrap the gifts. Whenever I try to serve this during the year, my sons will always warn me that this is Christmas breakfast! Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Gina, I had to smile when I saw your place card for your father. When my oldest daughter was born 13 years ago she nicknamed my father Pop-Pop. Now all four of his grandchildren call him that too. Now he's just Pop-Pop. I can't wait to get "The Magic of Christmas" set. Too cute. Thanks for all of the wonderful inspiration you give us!

I absolutely love the little girl and snowman. That is probably the cutest winter stamp I have seen. I also think the nestabilities tags are going to be a must have real soon. Thanks for all your wonderful inspiration.

I love the little girl and snowman! The little girl reminds me of last winter when my granddaughter wanted to go snowmobiling around the yard with her Uncle Kent. Her mom didn't bring clothes to play outside, so we bundled her up with what we had around and she was a bundle!

I just love the clean contemporary look of this card. What did you use to stamp the image?
