simple tradition- a challenge for you.
We all spend a lot of time trying to be different. I know I do. We want to come up with something unique. Whether it's an unexpected color combination or a complicated layout- we all like to create something new.
But sometimes, doing something simple and expected is so good.

Today's challenge is to go traditional and simple. If you look at my card sample below, you will see just a couple layers, traditional Christmas colors and a dab of embellishment.

The most complicated part of this card was to add some crystal lacquer to the Christmas balls. In the first photo, you can see the dimension and shine that it provides. In this photo, the shine did not come through.
Card details:
stamps- The magic of Christmas by Rupa Shevde
paper- Stampin' Up Real Red and Glorious Green (? is that the right name?) Basic Grey Wassill patterned paper, (coming soon!)
ink- Memento Tuxedo black
other- Copic markers, Crystal Lacquer, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury Ribbon- holiday collection.
So grab some red and green card stock and create something simple.
Post the cards here in this thread so we can all share our work with each other.
(It's super simple to actually post the full card right in the thread so we don't have to use keywords or search all over the place to see each other's work. Click on post a comment. Then, click on the little box and browse your computer for the picture of your card. Then, upload it. It will just look like html code until you actually make your post. Then, you photo will be embedded right there for all of us to see! You can comment on each other's work right there too!)
What's coming up? On Tuesday, preview day 1 of our November release. We have some fabulous stamp sets coming your way and a new product that I have been searching the industry for for well over five years!!! It's PURE LUXURY! And I will reveal it on Tuesday.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Gina, most often, the simplest and most traditional is certainly the most elegant. This card indeed is most elegant. Thanks for sharing!!

I am glad to hear about the new paper as it is difficul to find paper stiff enough to hold the card. Especially whenyou tend to over emblish like I do , so this is a must ttry for me. Loe the carsd holder for the beans Vert clasy style and paper chosen is perfect.

I can't wait to get the 120 lb paper. I like SU white, but it's not sturdy enough.

Give please. The function of science fiction is not always to predict the future but sometimes to prevent it.
I am from Gabon and know bad English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "Book cheap airfares, we customize vacations as per your needs, get best deals on all major cruises, group travel, travel insurance, and activities, india."
