Snowflakes.
Yesterday, I peeked my head out of my office only to see what looked like a blizzard. It really wasn't a blizzard but the snow was coming down so fast and furious that it seemed like we were in the dead of winter.
Of course, the ground was still a little too warm for it to really mean anything, but it reminded me of how close we are to snowy days in Wisconsin.

Today, I want to show you how easy it is to embellish snowflakes punched out from Marvy Snowflake punches. We carry these in our store and you will be amazed at how easy it is to draw a couple of straight lines to embellish these delicate flakes.
I decided to try my first flakes using our new vellum paper.
I began by punching out a couple of vellum snowflakes using the Mega and Extra Jumbo snowflake punches.

Next, I used the new Tim Holtz ruler, (coming soon to Gina K. Designs,) and a stardust glitter pen. Of course you can use any color Copic marker or sharpie to make your lines in color. But I thought I would just make pretty glitter lines on these vellum snowflakes.

I lined up the ruler and drew a straight line with my glitter pen. Then, I added the little off-shoot lines by hand. It took about half a minute to do the whole snowflake!

Look how pretty it looks when you layer a couple of them on top of each other. Here I used the large snowflake above with a small one that I embellished with a Copic Spica pen.

They are so delicate and pretty. You can use them as singles or layer them for a more dramatic effect.

Here is a close up of my snowflake card. I layered my vellum snowflakes on top of dark green ones to make them stand out more.
Card details:
Stamps- Seasonal Sayings (GKD)
Card stock- SU Hunter Green, Pure Luxury 80lb. white.
Paper- Basic Grey Figgy Pudding, Vellum paper
Ink- Memento Red
Other- Marvy punches, Bling and dazzle brads, Janome sew mini sewing machine, Stardust glitter pen
In my next example, I used Pure Luxury 80lb. white card stock and did the same thing using a turquoise Spica glitter pen.

I love the way the color pops off of the white silky smooth card stock.

Again, these three snowflakes were done in a split-second. Then, I added them to my card.

Not just for the holidays, snowflakes last all winter long! You can use snowflakes to make thank-you cards, birthday cards and "snow" much more. (Sorry, that was bad, I know! LOL!) And "joy" can mean "I'm happy for you!"
Here is my finished card.

Card details:
Stamps- Seasonal Sayings (GKD)
Card Stock- SU Chocolate Chip, Pure Luxury 80lb white
Paper- Lucky n' Love (Gina K. Designs store)
Other- Copic Spica pen, brads, Marvy snowflake punch, Memento black ink.
I hope you've enjoyed this snowflake tutorial. These is a super easy thing to do! If you can draw a line with a ruler, you can embellish many of the beautiful snowflake punches and dies that are available today!
Hugs,
Gina K

Juicy Couture is a West Coast fashion company selling its lines of modern casual and sports clothing and accessories. There lines have a perfect touch of class and style. The Juicy name became popular when Hollywood celebrities began wearing their clothes and carrying their juicy couture bags. With the popularity of their line came the rush of fake juicy couture jewelry. So when you go shopping for your juicy couture daydreamer be careful and look for the following pitfalls.

It is a good timberland 6 inch boots thing that the God Who made us is not impatient with people like me with my timberland shoe company orchid. He lovingly thinks about us all the time timberland boots and he even temporarily gave up His heavenly home and his timberland traditional handsewn hold on diety to die for the sins of timberland mens custom world nearly 2,000 years ago. His death back then covered the sins of every cheap timberland boots person who will ever live. He then rose to life after three mens timberland chukka days and ever since has wanted us to accept His gracious act by loving Him and also those around us. When we do this, we will see people in a totally different timberland womens premium boots light — one that redefines what it means to be ugly or different or weird or strange. Instead,we see people with ugly timberland shoes store problems in whom God is working so they can bloom beautifully — just like I now see in my orchids whether they are “lumps” or blossoms! On a certain timberland work shoes day at a certain hour, we will pull into the station. Bands will be playing and flags waving. Once we get there, so many wonderful dreams will come true and the pieces of our timberland wheat shoes lives will fit together like a completed jigsaw puzzle. How restlessly we pace the aisles, *ing the minutes for timberland for you loitering --waiting, waiting, waiting for the station.
