Do you remember this project?
I planned on taking this project to the "One of a Kind Rubber Stamp Expo" in Madison this weekend to put on display.
Now my family knows that when I make something, it's special to me. They never throw away birthday cards or gift card holders that I make for them, (They usually give them back to me. LOL!)
So, this morning when I went into my stamp room, this is what I saw.
The top was carefully cut off of the bag, and the bag?- nowhere to be found. Hmmmm.
Later I got a couple of them to admit to the crime but they begged for special dispensation because they were so careful not to ruin the stamped part. LOL!
I planned on sharing the tutorial with you early next week so I will be making another one anyway.
One of the tools you need for the upcoming tutorial is some way of making circles.
So here is some blog candy that will have you making lots of circles!
A complete set of Nestabilities Classic circles!
This set contains all four sets of the "classic scalloped and plain circles" in both the large and small sizes!!
If you already have these, you can use them for holiday gifts! Divide them into 4 single $25.00 gifts or keep the whole package for yourself!

Have fun at the stamp show! Last time I was to WI for a stamp show was '03 and my friend and I rolled her jeep on the way to the show! After getting patched up, we went anyway and walked around all day...of course she was in shock and we didnt know it til later. lol Thanks for sharing!!

Well, at least you don't have to start from scratch. And now you know...the packaging made your cookies irrestible! I'd really like to try making that bag. Hopefully, it makes even oreos irrestible because it's unlikely I'll be whipping up a batch of the homemade kind any time soon.

That is a very funny story. At least they admitted it. That usually happens around my house with my Halloween candy. Each year I buy a bag of O'Henry bars - just for me. I only eat the little bite size ones never the big ones you buy at the store. I can't explain it - they just aren't the same. Anyway, mine seem to always go missing and no one will ever admit they took them.

Boy, what a great gift for blog candy. Sure hope I win, because I have the WIZARD, and I still don't have the circles.
The "missing" bag of cookies, reminds me of the empty bag of chips (which were for the party)----so neatly folded down and appeared to be full.LOL Although the young man who did that, years ago, at my house is now 44.

My family saves all their cards etc from me as well, I think it's so sweet. I found out from my 18 year old that his best friend, since elementary school, still has all of his birthday cards and keeps them in a special box on a shelf in his room. Awwww!

What a funny story and very thoughtful cookie snatchers. I work at a preschool two days a week and whenever one of the teachers is out I am asked to substitute. This year I told myself that whenever I earn that extra little bit of money, I am going to set it aside to buy a Wizard which I have been wanting for a long time. I am laughing so hard! I had a display board promoting Operation Kids and it featured a "KID POWER" stamp set. I used LOTS of candy toppers. I had it stored neatly in my stamping room and when I went to get it out for a class I found that all the candy was gone. . . bubble gum, gone; Smarties, gone; all the candy was gone, but all the art was still perfectly in tact. I have 4 kids. I think they all enjoyed their share!

I've been replacing things slowly since my house fire on Mother's day. I've got the scalloped ovals so far. About two years ago, on my friend's birthday - I gave her a present along with a handmade card. The next day she told me she gave it to her 2 years old child, who tore and ripped the card to small pieces. Last year she didn't get a card LOL.

This looks great. I have yet to use the bags. Love the topper you made for it. Pretty funny at how you found the top.
My family is the same with my cards. They save everything for me. My son is always bringing me the tags off his new clothing to see if I can use it to alter. I have even been known to try and talk him into buying certain items just to I can have the tag.

I run a home daycare and when i make a birthday cake i have to put a huge sign on it so everyone leaves it alone!That was after serving a lovely triple layer iced chocolate cake with a huge slice mssing LOL.

Oh the memories! I raised six kids and that kind of thing was always happening to me. I so love your blog! You are so talented and you create such beautiful items. Oh my goodness that is too funny! I have trained my family and friends to "appreciate the art" too. I can't tell you how many times I found just the topper from a hostess bag right before a demo and then had to scramble around making another at the last minute!

The audacity! Ruining a perfectly beautiful project for some cookies! On second thought, the cookies did look pretty yummy! I've lost some treats out of cute little projects that were sitting around in my stamping room, too, but my 10 year old (boy) isn't quite as careful about preserving the packaging!

OMGosh! That is hysterical. I can just picture the door slowly swinging open and an arm coming into view to carefully place the saved STAMPED bag topper, and then the door slowly swinging shut. Thanks for that view into the Gina K household (lol). I'd love to have the circle nesties and I'd definitely keep them for myself. I just learned how to make dahlia flower petals using the scalloped circles. You're a sweetie for offering such awesome gifties.

My family saves my cards and gives them back to me or they cut the front off and glue it to the front of a new card base and send it to someone else. I love it that the cards do double duty!!

Only a true "stamper family" would be so well trained! I love this article! I have a couple of sets of the Nestabilities but none of the circles! This would such a great Christmas gift to myself and I wouldn't have to return any of it!!!

I love your designs. I wish I could join you at the One of a Kind Rubber Stamp Show since I lived in Wisconsin a while back. But having said that after living in Florida for over 20 years, I still remember those cold icy winters. We are freezing here with a current temperature of 65 degrees. Your cookie bag story and photograph made me giggle... how funny!
The Nestabilities set giveaway is VERY generous! I just purchased a Cuttlebug machine a couple days ago, just for using with Nesties, but I haven't opened the box and have been debating whether or not to return it, on account of being intimated by the machine, the stories I've read about the plates breaking, and the amount of money I'd have to invest in Nestabilities.
So... winning a set of them would certainly be good incentive to keep the machine and test it out!

Too funny! The MIA cookie bag reminds me of a similar story when my son and family came for a visit a couple of months ago. All through dinner I was telling my 20-month old granddaughter (who very rarely gets sweets) that if she eats her dinner I had a surprise for her. When I went to get the "surprise" chocolate covered marshmallow cookie for her - no cookies, just the empty package. I looked at my 6'3" son who had the cat that ate the canary smile on his face and he said, there were ONLY 5 of them and they were small!

What a great Christmas gift the circle Nestabilities would make for my sister and niece. I keep the mail carriers busy transporting the punched and embossed shapes in a rainbow of colours I punch for my sister and niece who live in Denver. I know they would love to have a set of their own.
Wish I lived a little closer so I could attend the Stamp Expo. I know all of those who DO attend will thoroughly enjoy it.

I am so in love with everything you do Gina! I look forward to checking what you have done every day. You are so totally awesome! Thanks for all your beautiful examples. It looks like you will have a lot of fun cutting these up for your drawing. Oh how I wish I had some nestabilites. I want to cry every time I see something done with them and it is really frustrating to try and duplicate something without them. I am living on Social Security and can't afford to buy any more "tools" and do I ever feel left out. I have managed to purchase a couple of Copics, but can't afford many. So funny that saved it for you. I think it certainly warrants the "special dispensation" requested. At my house, nobody would admit to it - even though we only have one child (and one adult boy, too!) left at home.

I think this is the funniest story- my husband is like that too! Sometimes he complains that I keep so much stuff to repurpose but the man never throws away cans, Kleenex boxes, jars, etc without showing it to me first! Just in case I want it.

I really LOVED this project. Thought I could use it next year. I have a Christmas cookie and, in fact last year I did 110 dozen (that's not a typo...one-hundred ten!). I don't have time to do that many packages for this year, but thought I could perhaps use your sample to prepare packaging next year (all year???). Thanks for all the beautiful work. Rita

Love the cookie story - it's obvious that the cookie thief (or thieves) knew that your stamped bag header souldn't get messed with. Was there a trail of cookie crumbs leading to the culprit???

Gina, I just received my first shipment of Gina K goodies, including your new luxury papers and all I can say is HOLY CRAP!! That is some AWESOME paper!!!
