My first preview today is a stamp set I designed for our cruise participants and I am so excited to finally be able to release it for everyone to enjoy.

Today, we are expecting about 6-9 inches of snow here in Wisconsin so looking at the "Tropical Flowers" stamp set just makes me happy.
Flowers are appropriate any time of the year and this set was designed to be your "go-to" flower set for any kind of project.

One of the things I love about this stamp set is the ability to mix and match the flowers and stems and how this set lends itself so well to all kinds of fun stamping techniques.
Depending on how you use these stamps, you can create happy, fun, floral birthday cards or monochromatic sympathy cards, all with one versatile stamp set. (I love how these stamps look stamped in black over a brayered background. Can you tell?)
The second set I'll be previewing today is the newest set by Rupa Shevde, "Home tweet home."

This set is full of adorable birdhouses, feathered friends and greetings to match. For Christmas, I decided to give my sister and brother-in-law a gift card to home depot. I thought it would be fun to use this set to make a card with a special gift card holder inside.
To begin, I cut a piece of card stock to measure 4 1/2" X 11".

I scored is at 4 1/2", 5 1/2" and 6 1/2".
Then, I folded it on the score lines like this.

I used some Scor-tape to hold the two edges together. Scor-tape will be a new product we are adding to the store with our new release.

When applying the Scor-tape, make sure you put it right along the edge. This way it won't get in the way of the cut in the next step.

This is what the project looks like up to this point with the Scor-tape in place.
Next, I found a nestabilities die that fit my gift card. (You can also use a rectangle paper punch for this step.)

I cut my indent using this die. My card is folded in half in the picture below.

I dressed up the inside with patterned paper. This is how the inside looks.

Here is another view of the finished project.

These gift card holders are quick and easy to make.
Here's an up close view of the front image.

I added a little loose glitter on the roof of the house and in the circle in the center.
I want to show you two new products that will be available in our store on the night of the 11th as well.
I love Doodlebug glitter and flock. They come in sets of 12 little bottles of assorted colors which I love because I want all the colors but not huge sizes of each color. Lets face it. A little glitter or flock goes a LONG way.
But guess what I discovered? These little glitters and flocks fit perfectly in our hinged window tins!

Now you can have all the colors in both glitter and flock and keep them neat and organized!
They way I use these is super easy. I take a quickie glue pen, (available with our new release,) and draw the glue exactly where I want the glitter or flock. Then, sprinkle it on and tap the card on a piece of paper to remove the excess glitter. I use the paper to put the excess glitter or flock back in little jar. With the quickie glue pen, you can be so precise. And it's so fun to have all the colors.
For my birdhouse, I used the orange and turquoise glitter.

I made one more project using Rupa's set. It's for a challenge over at Papercraft Planet. Gina K. Designs is sponsoring day 12 of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" promotion and you can win a Gina K. Designs set of your choice over at PCP if you take the challenge and enter your card.
The challenge for Day 12 is to make a card that has twelve embellishments. I didn't think I could do it. I love embellishments but 12 just seemed like too many! LOL!
Well, lo and behold, inspiration hit and I came up with this card.

I used this beautiful bird image and greeting from Rupa's "Home tweet home" stamp set. Notice how many of our greetings fit perfectly inside the nestabilities tag dies!
I used a cuttlebug border folder to created the border on the red piece of Basic Grey Wassail paper. (Coming to our store with our next release.) Then, I used 12 brads. I was happy that the card remained tasteful even with all of those brads!

I colored the bird with Copic markers on our 120lb pure luxury white card stock. I added texture with the colorless blender in an attempt to make it look like feathers.

I hope you like these two new sets!
Would you like to win one?

Can't wait to see the rest of the flowers--your card is beautiful. The birdhouse gift card holder is very cute (thanks for posting the tutorial--I need to make some gift card holders today and will be using your tutorial).
I have a tip for applying glitter that is a lot easier and less messy than the "sprinkle and tap" method. After applying your glue, let it dry for a couple minutes until it is tacky and not wet (if your glue is blue, wait until it is clear). Then dip the tip of your finger into the glitter bottle and rub the glitter over your glue lines until the glue is covered. You use way less glitter and you only have a little excess glitter to wipe off your paper and your fingertip. HTH
