Such a beautiful card and thanks for sharing the ease of that adhesive backed paper for paper piecing. I love that technique. I would love the chance to win any of the Shapeabilities. I don't have any and it isn't possible to buy them right now. Thanks for the chance to win.

Congratulations Marcia! Please send your shipping address with you tag dies choice to info@ginakdesigns.com.

Our challenge and blog candy week is coming to a finale. Today's giveaway is a set of Spellbinders dies. More about that in a minute.

Today's challenge is all about paper piecing.
It's called "You want a piece of me?"

All you have to do is create a card using the paper piecing technique. For a complete tutorial on how to do this technique, click here- Paper Piecing Technique.

"Retro Boutique" is such a great set for this technique. For my paper piecing, I used the DCWV adhesive mat stack. I really love to use this paper pack for this technique because once you cut out those delicate pieces, you just remove the sticker back and press it right on. You don't have to try to apply glue or tape to those tiny little areas, (like the straps of this dress,) because this patterned paper is already like a sticker paper.

Upload your challenge card to splitcoaststampers using keyword GINAKJAN2 so we can easily find each others challenge projects.

I used one of my favorite Spellbinders dies for the greeting on this card. It's the Shapeabilities double end tag dies.

I love these dies because they fit the majority of the Gina K. Designs greetings.
You may notice how often I used these in my projects.

Spellbinders Shapeabilities die blog candy!

So today, one lucky winner will win a pack of Spellbinders dies! You can win either a pack of Shapeabilities double end tags, ribbons tags trio, scalloped tags or tags trio. Your choice!

All you have to do is leave a comment here and I will announce the random winner right here on this post tomorrow.

To see the winner of yesterday's contest, click here: Copic winner!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year' Day. Here's to a fabulous 2009!

Hugs,
Gina K.

Hi Gina ~ my favorite technique is Paper Piecing. Part of it reminds me of playing with Paper Dolls as a child. It just makes the entire page come to life without the use of pop-ups. And with the huge variety of printed CS on the market, you can mix and match any papers to create the untimate outfit.
    Thanks Gina :0)

I recently purchased the Retro Boutique stamp set, but with a wedding to plan in November and all the Christams festivities, I have yet to play with it. Thanks for the chance to win some Nestability labels. I've been looking at them for awhile now and have decided that they are a "must have" item. Thanks for the chance to win!!!!
