If you don't, why not? If you're like me, you may think, "I don't have enough time for that." So, instead, your pictures sit in a shoe box or worse- on a hard drive.
I've been thinking a lot about scrapbooking lately and I think the biggest road blocks for me have always been:
1. I couldn't imagine scrapbooking every photo I have so I didn't do any.
2. I really didn't want to bother with the journaling part. (Sometimes I do, but not for every picture.)
I really enjoy just sitting on the floor and looking through my photos, in no particular order- just looking and remembering. In fact, I love the idea that I'm not sure what photo is coming next. So I've decided to do some random scrapbooking, thanks to this new stamp set.
"The best things in life," the newest stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger is a collection of larger words and phrases that can be combined in so many different ways, it's almost hard to count!
When Melanie pitched this idea to me, I thought a lot about how I would use it. I knew I could make tons of fun projects with it, (just using it with her "What's in your tin" stamp sets alone would be so fun.) But when I realized that this would make my scrapbooking life so easy, I was sold.
I've used this photo before in a scrapbook page but it's one of my very favorites of Rina. So I thought I would put it in my new "Best Things" scrapbook. My scrapbook will contain a bunch of my favorite random photos of my kids, (at all different ages,) with different "best things" sayings.
With 39 words and phrases in this set, the combinations are endless! Of course this same greeting would make a great birthday or baby card. It would also make a super gift card holder. But I am most excited about choosing 20 of my favorite photos and making a 8 X 8 coffee table scrapbook. No journaling- just the photos and my "best thing in life" sayings.
Most of the stamps in this set can be die cut using nestabilities which lends itself to some cute staggered sayings with no need to line anything up.
And, of course, I've already seen Melanie's tip sheet for tons of great combinations for card making and scrapbooking projects galore! She will share that with you all soon, I'm sure!

This set is so girlie! I know I will be reaching for it all the time to make cards for my friends, my Mom and sister and, of course, my girls!
Yesterday, I posted a tiny sneak peek so today I wanted to show you my full card.
I love these bottles of nail polish. I used some crystal lacquer to puff up the glass bottles. and make them shine.
I know you're really going to love the cute greetings in this set and how well they coordinate with the beautifully illustrated images.
You'll be seeing me use this set a lot here on my blog. I can't seem to put it down!

I scrapped until I learned about stamping and haven't done much since!! Not that I do much stamping anymore either. The are both fabulous and I can't wait to see more, but you have to slow down!! I just can't keep up with you and I have faith that someday I am going to feel better and don't want to miss any!!

I love that polished set. I think it will make some really great girlfriends cards. Those went really quickly when my mom was selling cards to raise money for the missionaries her church sponsors. I also thought that tidbit you included about owning salons was pretty interesting. I have never heard you talk about that before and I guess its cool finding out interesting things about people you read about every day. Thanks for sharing! I have never been a nail technician, but boy do I love them!!!! Looking down as I type, I need to go see mine.

I love your idea to scrapbook only certain photos - not in any order, just the ones you love. I have always stayed away from scrapbooking because the thought of going to the beginning when they were babies is so overwhelming I just stay away from it. Your idea is something I could handle. Just a little at a time. What fun. I could sure use that stamp set now that the idea is in my head.

I would love perfecly polisshed,Before I started stamping I was going to do nails bought all the stuff to .its still in the bedroom under the bed.its funnny how we change our minds on things.I just liked making cards better ,It made me feel better better .

I love these sets. I am like you. I have tons of pics of my girls but have not put them in scrapbooks as I find it too overwhelming. I think the random words set would be the way to go. I will have to try it. I also, love the polish set. My granddaughter loves to polish her fingernails and toes (she is 3) so would make a cute card for her or a gift tag along with some polish......hmmmmm.

I too, thought you had to scrapbook every picture, so I just didn't know where to start. But, a year ago, my first grandchild was born,and I knew to start right away. Someday, he'll be big enough to see his own scrapbook.

I don't know--Ijust stamped about 150 images on your luxury cardstock--IT WAS SOOOOOOO EASY. Can you get it in 12 x 12 sheets for scrapbooks? I just absolutely love the new images and all the stamping possibilities.

I took the funniest lot of photos the other day - my brother in law (huge man) painting his tiny daughter's fingernails. It was adorable - the nail polish stamp would be perfect for this layout (if I ever get around to it

It was great fun hearing about your earlier vocation in the nail salon field. I would love to win the new stamp sets ... especially the scrapbooking set because I need something to help jump-start me into organizing all the beautiful photos of my granddaughters.

What a precious picture of your daughter!! I would be thrilled to win either set... but I have fallen off of the scrapbooking wagon so it would be great if that set could get me motivated again. I am years and years behind on my scrapbooking so I have just felt overwhelmed and stopped. A random scrapbook is a great idea. I have tons of photos of my two grandchildren, and have even bought an album, but still having tackled the scrapbooking project. I too, don't get too excited about the journaling part. Winning these stamps make be just the encouragement I need to get started.

I do scrapbook...and sometimes I have a hard time including stamping with my scrapbooking (I guess because I've been scrappin' for ALOT longer). These words would help alot...can't wait to see all the possibilities!!

I started out scrapbooking nine years ago when my first grandson was born. But when I found stamping the scrapbooking faded away. Now the pictures are all in boxes. I have started scraping my cruise album tho and this set of words would be great!

I have 2 new granddaughters from Ethiopia and we are starting scrapbooking. This set sounds like it would be perfect for the girls. They really enjoy our projects together and it has given me a chance to know more about them and their country.

LOL!!! You sound like me with the scrapbooking. I keep putting it off, since I can't decide which photos to scrap!! So, the sit in the photo boxes and on my hard drive. For the ones that I do have scrapped, I have the journaling block there, but nothing written on it yet!! This set sounds like it would be VERY helpful!!!

Hmmm, scrapbooking I think that is how my 'addiction' started. But, because I have an extremely hard time doing any kind of layout, I changed to card making. Smaller canvas, and quicker results. I may have to dust off my scrap stuff and get my pictures in order. I can't wait to see more Gina!

My first craft love is scrapbooking, some day my 3 sons will appreciate the work I have done for them. I still get double prints, put one in albums and then scrap the others. That way I do not have to scrap every single picture of every single thing they do. I can't wait to see the set, anything to make to make the project a little quicker will be great!

OH my...what a wonderful set to win this would be. I am the only one in my family with any "craft genes" in my body. My sister just recently asked me to do 2 scrapbooks for her boys and my brother asked me to do one for his newborn baby. This could save me time, and the sayings alone could inspire me to keep coming up with something better than the last entry. I would be thrilled to have such a great set!

Of course I scrapbook! My very first Gina K stamp was purchased for a scrapbook page! I bought your swimmer! It's a girl! My niece is also a jr olympic swimmer and my best scrapbooking buddy (she used to make cards too, but now she's 15 and on the lacrosse team too)! AND I have the very same photo of my kids -- unscrapped of course, now I know why -- so I could win (or buy) these new sets! Who with a daughter, would not LOVE Rupa's new set? Mine is 20 and we went to have our nails done while she was home from college! Gina, you're killing me with all these great sets!

Love that picture of Rina, too! I understand why you would include it. I don't enjoy the journaling part of scrapbooking either so I often leave it off. But now going back 9 years I can't remember much about some of the pictures. I would encourage you to find someway to at least include the month and year the photo was taken. My children all want to know how they were in the pictures and all I can do is guess. I do wish I had included this in my early scrapbooks. Love the nail polish set--it will appeal to girls of all ages, I'm sure!

Wow, what great sets with so much potential! I've promised my daughter if she stops biting her nails, we'll start doing a Saturday spa day...so far, my Saturday's are still my own. Wonder if the nail set would help us out? As for the phrases, I think most of us are guilty of falling behind in our scrapbooking - this set would make for a lovely coffee table book, so thanks for sharing your inspiration!

Scrapbooking was my first creative passion but once I discovered stamping it took a back seat. Stamping is quicker for me so I get the satisfaction of finishing something. Lately I have been thinking about scrapbooking again b/c it is important to me to record our family memories. Both sets are inspiring me--one b/c of the wonderful sayings that lend themselves to titling my pages and the other b/c I have some wonderful photos of the first time my little girl had me paint her toenails. Can't wait to see what is to come.

Hi Gina! Well the new set lived up to it's "little peak" yesterday and I love the Simply Said set. What a brilliant idea! I love to scrapbook and do it the same as you ~ a bit here and there. I tried to chronologically do the kids lives and ended up miserable. Now I just do what appeals at the time - much happier me and a much better project! Thanks for continuing to bring us fun and useful things to work with!

I love the idea of the word stamp set. I have been scrapbooking for a couple of years but the stamping is the new part for me. I want to bring something new to my scrapbooks. I like the idea of stamps because if I like a sticker and need more than one, I have to keep buying it. With stamps, I can just keep making the image. I can't wait to see the set!! I would love to win the words set! I found it much more fun to scrapbook once I set myself free from having to "catch up" with all my son's pics from birth. Now I scrap what I want and there is no pressure. Such a great hobby and using stamps adds another dimension to my LO's.

Gina I am absolutely LOVING this new set! I am hoping to win b/c then maybe it will inspire me to make some scrapbook pages as well! My photos are all in a box just screaming to get put in a scrapbook! I did scrapbook before card making took over my life. I've been wanting to get back to it. With the kids being grown and gone, and no grandkids yet. What a great way to show off some of my favorite photos! I love both sets of stamps, (I did nails 10 years ago too).
Even it I don't win I'll be making this a purchase.

Love the idea of using stamps in scrapbooking. I have gotten away from doing my scrapbooks and maybe this set would help me get back into the swing of it. Seems like greeting cards take up all my time. Thanks Gina for your inspiration.

The Best Thingd In Life is such a perfect saying for so many things and your example is so true. We only have to look at others to know how lucky we are in our own lifes.
Perfectly Polished is so "girly" and I can see so many wonderful cards being made with that set. Your example was great and you keep me inspired.

I agree that one on the biggest drawbacks to scrapbooking is having to journal. Melanie's stamp set would be a great help.

I think this is a fabulous idea! I have had the same "brain-block" when it comes to scrapbooking, because it always seemed like so much work. This set will make it very easy to put one together. Thanks for the chance to win.

Oh I love your idea of scrapbooking favorite pictures - definitely showing the best things in life. And the perfectly polished so describes my 13-year old daughter, she is ALWAYS using nail polish. So either one of these sets would be overused if you pick me.

Gina, what a wonderful give away! I scrapbook on a regular basis, I let the title say everything because of the journaling part. now there are more options. I just started making cards. Both these sets look fab... I can't wait for more. Thanks for all you and your staff do for us.

I just spent the entire weekend at a scrapbooking retreat and could have really used some cute little sayings. I don't do much journaling in my books, one I don't like to and two my printing is terrible.

I think the "all or nothing" approach to scrapbooking is what holds a lot of us back. This year I decided to just do it when I can, and not worry if I have 2-page layouts that match, or if they are in chronological order. I'm letting go of all the things that stop me from being creative this year!

I have three little girls so I definately get overwhelmed about all the scrapbooking I "have" to get done! Any streamlining ideas are very welcome! And the nailpolish set is so perfect for us! We all love having our nails done!

Hi Gina,
i can so relate to your story about not getting started on scrapbooking. My kids are in their late twenties, so the task always seems to overwhelming! I keep hoping for grandkids so I can start over but I'm still waiting LOL! I've thought a lot lately about making a few mini themed scrapbooks using just some of my favourite pics and very little if any journalling. Melanie's new set sounds perfect for this. Fingers crossed.

Making a book with that set makes it much easier. Scrapbooks have never been my thing-----but only the "special things" just might work. They would really work well on cards too.

I never got into scrapping...mainly because when it first became popular there was no digital cameras...and the thought of cutting up my photos or altering them in anyway...well...I didn't like that idea. I do love the idea you have of your Best Things scrapbook...I may need to rethink this scrapping thing and buy Melanie's new set!

Much more economical than paper scrapping and...there's an un-do botton!!! and the forum there is tops!! friendly and home-y!! I love the nail polish stamp set!!! just adorable!!

I want both of these stamp sets. Some of your sets the words are so small they are hard to cut with not much room between. On the cookie set I did'nt get the backing straight and it doesn't stay on block. they are so close to each other. But I love your designs. Anita
