Did you know that a few of the gals over at StampTV have started some really cool groups for you to join?
Each group is looking for stampers by state, province or country! Have you always wanted to get to know which of your online friends live in your area? Of course, you don't have to tell anyone exactly where you live but if any cool events get scheduled near you, (like maybe StampTV on the Road,) we'd love to have a way to let you know. Sending a message to your group is a great way to stay in contact!
I was reading in one group about some great stamp stores in Florida that might be just a short drive away from you!
If there isn't a group started for your state, province or country, go ahead and start one! You don't have to do anything else. Just hang out and chat with your stamping neighbors. It's easy and fun!
Check it out here at StampTV- Groups
I KNOW we need a Wisconsin stamping friends group! hint-hint...

Blog Candy Question of the Weekend!
So, here's a question for you and we'll do a little weekend blog candy with this one. Now that the first two episodes of StampTV have posted, what stamping techniques do you want to see. Of course, it will take a while to get to all of them, but I'd love to know what you want. Even if someone already said the one you want, say it again. We'll tabulate and try to get the "most wanted" up soon.
On Monday, I will choose a random winner from your answers who will win a stamp set of their choice. Just leave your comment here.
Have a great weekend~
Hugs,
Gina K.

I would like to see more resist or dry embossing.
I really like the stamp tv....it's much easier to grasp the idea if I can SEE it.
thanks!

I would love to see something with resist technique. (not sure if I am saying that wright) using wax or versamark and then adding color. I have not been successful with this.

I would like to see something on parchment crafting and more water color tutorials.

Hi Gina,
As for me I'd like to see different techniques & uses for the Nesties and CB embossing folders. I love using these on my cards but tend to rely on "safe" techniques, such as using the ovals & squares as image panels. I have tried using 2 different embossing folders on the same panel and love how that comes out.

i would like to actually see how to use the spellbinder die cuts with the Cuttlebug. Also, how to emboss and cut in one.

I've always liked the cracked ice technique. I think this works well with floral images or a vintage theme. This may be a great technique for StampTV.

I'm not sure if this counts as a "technique", but I'd love to see you create a one sheet wonder set - or something of the sort. I need to be inspired to create more than one card at a time!!

How about some techniques using vellum -- embossing, coloring, layering, ? anything new.

Coloring ideas would be my top pick. I don't have copics and I also discovered that I don't have water-based markers either. I so wanted to try out thumping. Darn!

I'd love to see any tutorials using the wet embossing technique with the cuttlebug folders. I've seen cards done with this and would like to see a visual. I get confused with the "negative" side of the folder thing!

Hi Gina,
I have been stamping and papercrafting for over 18 years and I have never seen the Kiss method so I learnt something new thankyou. I love the Stamp It TV. I could have watched it for hours but alas there were only the two things to watch cannot for more. I don't have any Nesties yet due to funds and in Australia they are a little bit more expensive than over there but anything done with the Nesties would be great.
Thankyou

Oh dear, where does one start? OK...here it goes!
1. Using Spellbinders nestabilities: especially where you 'nest' two or more nestabilities together.
2. Making home decor items using Spellbinders, Sizzix, or other manufacturers die cuts.
3. How to make great use of vellum and mulberry paper. I have these items and am never sure how to use them in an attractive and appealing way.

First of all, I love Stamp TV! It's great to see a technique actually being done. I'd like to see how to use Spellbinders in a Cuttlebug and also how to make a nice shadow around your image using pencils and Gamsol or watercolor pencils and Aquapainters. Thanks!!

As for techniques on StampTV I am always happy to get some Copic tips!!

Stamp TV is the BEST!!! Stamp Camp on your schedule at your house!!! Anything Velum would be great, I just love the soft touch it adds. Maybe a little on the do's and don'ts of the Metalic Rub stuff, I'm afraid to mess it up & have a card that looks like my daughter was playing in my make-up.

First of all, LOVE Stamp TV! This may seem easy, but I have trouble distressing my card stock. I have used the Stampin' Up distressing tool, scissors and even a butter knife, but I can't get my edges to look as distressed as some samples I have seen. Any ideas?

Love the stamp TV. I have seen so many wonderful suggestions for techniques to do, but I think I would prefer something with the spellbinders, especially using the new borderbilities. I love my borders, but need some visual on these.

Wow, Gina! You look fabulous on Stamp TV! I'm loving the episodes so far! I wish to see an episode on colored pencils whatever types are out there...I've seen some people say they use baby oil instead of gamsol...and I just haven't gotten up the gumption to invest in it, but I do love the way it looks.
Nesties tips are good too!

Copics come to mind first. The nestabilities in a Cuttlebug next. I can't seem to get the hang of embossing with those things or getting a "clean" cut with no embossing, if that makes any sense! Thanks for the chance to win!

How to emboss without cutting using Nestabilities would be helpful for me. I can't find where I originally saw how to do it. Brayering always needs reinforcement and the practice we had in class on the Cruise was an enormous help...but that was last October and I haven't practiced enough since. Thanks for all you do.

I'd like to see something on how to use glitter (not liquid glitter glue) on a stamped image that also has a part that is not to be glittered. e.g. A tree that's truck is stamped with brown ink but the branches/leaves are to be glittered with several shades of fine glitter. DO you use a glue ink pad for the glitter and masking for the trunk? Thanks if this is something you might be interested in teaching us how to do.

Love to see copic coloring tutorials, I'd love to get certified also. Scor pal techniques, coloring tutorials with the mineral spirits and Kohinor pencils. Oh also any videos on how to cut out Mels stamp sheets, I have a few of them and am afraid to cut them for fear I'll cut into an image beside the one I'm cutting, those words are close together. LOL

I get quite bored amid my baby boom So I forever find myself experimenting with hair/nails/makeup. Today was a nail day I was watchin ANTM and saw a prototype with mesh over her eyes plus was prefer 'I want mesh aboard my nails'. So behind tweeting namely (lol),eye shadow, I googled it plus clearly it was celeb trend in 09 plus there were a lot of tuts on it. I combined a few of them to qualified what I had among my stash and here is how I did it:
What you need:
- lace (I accustom some oldddddd leggings)
-clear raining n brutal altitude coat
-sally's knit hardener
-a natural/nude polish
-scissors
The Process:
1) Do a basecoat aboard your nails
2) Apply two floors of naked polish
3) Wait for it to dry
4) Fit mesh apt fasten and slit off excess
6) Apply 1 coat of nail hardner
7) Apply lace and gently press into zone (I accustom the butt of my scissors)
8) Apply afresh overcoat of hardener
9) Apply shiney top overcoat if you don't absence a matte finish
10) Repeat aboard the vacation of your nails.
Here are my results:
You tin likewise use brush aboard anchor paste to bond the mesh only I accepted never apt Also. I've seen some people use gel because a altitude overcoat I equitable didn't have any aboard hand and didn't feel favor getting anybody This look would be even cuter whether you coated the ring fingers within rhinestones. I am going to venture namely after (I LOVEEEE rhinestone covered nails)
