Hi Gina:
I am absolutely loving the Stamp TV site. What so nice about it that I can go back and do the steps with you since my laptop is sitting on the table with me while I'm going the project, and all I have to do is pause it and play catch up to you. I love it!!! While I have several Nesties, I don't have them all and I love the fact that you are giving us an opportunity to win some more. Thanks a bunch, Debi E. - Rittman, OH
Congratulations Debi! Send your shipping information and nestabilities choice to info@ginakdesigns.com

It's been a while since we've done some blog candy so today, in honor of the latest episode at StampTV, using Nestabilities in your cuttlebug, I've decided to give away a set of Nestabilties of YOUR choice.
What are my favs? Well, that's like asking what child is my favorite... but I am partial to the petite scalloped ovals, the double end tags, and the new labels 1 although I haven't played much with mine yet. (I better get on that!
)
To win, all you have to do is leave a comment here and on Monday night, I will randomly choose a winner who will get to pick their favorite Nesties set!
Some important Nestabilities Facts.
There are two sizes in the Nestabilities layering dies- small and large.
When you mix plain and scalloped of the same size, (small scalloped with small plain, large scalloped with large plain,) only a small portion of the scalloped edge will peek out like this.

I like this look when I layer two sets of scalloped and plain together. (I call it "double matting.") One way to double mat is to create a larger difference in size between your first mat and your second mat (like the photo above,) or you can alternate layers going up one size each for all four pieces like in this sample below:

Alternately, when you mix large and small nestabilties together, (large scalloped with small plain or small scalloped with large plain,) a larger amount of the scalloped edge will show, like this:

I like this look when I only want to do a single scallop and plain together. It creates the perfect frame all by itself.
It's fun to try new combinations. You can also mix your Marvy punches in there as well like in this photo.

The white scalloped edge is the Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle punch and the White plain circle with the wreath is the Marvy Mega Plain Circle punch. I wanted a green piece that was in between but they don't make a punch that size so I grabbed my plain circle nestabilties and found one that worked.
Just thought I'd share these ideas with you today. Try it all and see what you can come up with! And good luck in today's blog candy giveaway!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Gina K.

Gina - You really did it to me. I have always loved card making, I always liked things where a cuttlebug was used - but I never came rounf to buy one myself. No it is my birthday on Wednesday and I asked my family for a cuttlebug machine. I was quite a nice mum /wife, so hopefully, I will get it 'lol'. After seeing your video with the Nestabilities, I know that at one point I will have to buy some of them as well. I have same circle craft punches, but no ovals, so maybe one day, I will buy the Nestabilities oval shapes. I do love your videos, in the short time, since I have subscribed, I have already learned a lot and if I get the cuttlebug, i will check your tutorial out again. I loved the "c is for cutting", "b" is a "b" in embossing... You made sure that I will not forget it. Thank you for all the work you put into it.

As far as I'm concerned, Stamp TV is the best thing to come along since, well...stamps! I am such a visual learner, so getting to actually watch you demonstrate the use of nestabilites, or any technique, is fabulous. I just bought my first set of nestabilities and love the finished look they give my cards. The hardest part will be determining which set to add next!

Thanks Gina for all of your inspirations!! I love all of your cards. Just a trick I use to help keep the Nesties in place while cutting or embossing is to use the blue painters tape-just a very small piece or two will work and it doesn't stick to the card stock when you pull it off. I've had one roll for 2 years will probably never have to buy another roll, that is for card making anyway.

I just got my first set of Nestie's this week, actually, my first 3 sets, I picked the large scalloped square, oval and circle, I am thinking that I should have picked the rectangles for more versatility. I was part of your release earlier this week and now a Nestie givaway. Too, too, much. I love it all.

I am always eager to learn, especially about two products that I love, nestabilities and my cuttlebug! I'm impressed with the educational quality of this site, Gina, and urge you to keep this focus on your blog, for all of the stampers and other craft enthusiasts to learn as much as we can. I recently subscribed to Stamp TV, and passed on that link to my close family and friends who also stamp. I love the set "A Year of Flowers" by Gina K. Designs, and just placed and received my first order--I've never used any stamps but those that are wood-mounted, and appreciated the advice that your staff gave me regarding mounting supplies. I look forward to trying the new stamps when I am able to do so (I deal with a disability of chronic pain due to an MVA, so my stamping time is limited).
I have never won blog candy, and obviously would be thrilled to do so, but I am sure that whoever wins will enjoy them, for nestabilities seem to be the very best of products in this field, from my very limited exposure to them. Thank you for giving all of us this opportunity, and I will be back to your blog regularly (I have saved it in my favorites, so that I can quickly access it), and will be checking out your favorites too. I absolutely love the work of Michelle Zindorf, and enjoy seeing her work on SCS (an obsession to check out this site at times!) too.
I wish you, your blog, and your business all of the very best, Gina,
Joanne

I only joined on Friday and already I have learnt a better way to cut out my Nestabilities which I have been using for over 18 months. I used always to have my 2nd B plate on top and change the middle one every time I wanted to cut or emboss, now I shall be able to leave my B plate on top of my A plate, saving me time to play with other Nestabilities.I have also learnt to double layer and work outside of the oval etc. I'm just so please that I have joined and look forward to learning so many new techniques in the future! Going to learn more now. Thank you for your lesson. Jackie L

Hi Gina,
Any one of them would be my favourites as I don't have any yet. I live in a country town and they are not available at any of the Australian retailers online either. So all I can do is oggle them by way of American blogs at the moment lol. Of course if I had them I think they would all be my favourites as they all bring a different look to your cards in my opinion.

Hi Gina,
I found your tutorial on Nestibilities very interesting wish I had found your site before Christmas as Santa (AKA DH) bought me a Pazzles which is a bit of a hassle for smaller cuts. I've seen the "nesties" demonstrated at craft shows and love the scalloped ovals. I wonder if I could hide a Cuttlebug under the bed!!!!!!
Reply to this
I love Nestabilities!! I have been collecting them every chance I get but my wish list is mighty long. I always go back to the ovals and the scalloped ovals so I guess they must be my favorite. They can be used on everything! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. I actually saw you demonstrating Nesties in the Cuddlebug at a show in St. Paul and that inspired me to get some. Thank you for the chance to win! You are both talented and generous!

Your StampTV came along at the perfect time...I'm sure I was not the only one in mourning over the demise of TV Weekly, the stamping video site that was discontinued at Christmas due to economic difficulties. It was great to see your examples. Now I know what to expect when using my Nesties. I will say, that I tried using my Marvy Mega Scalloped Oval and it did not work well with the petite scalloped ovals. I'm not sure if it would work better with the standard ovals or not; I just wanted to point out that mixing and matching with Marvy Punches may or may not work all the time.
Thanks for the chance at the giveaway.

Stamp Tv is great, I am telling everyone about it. Using Spellbinders/Nesties are great. I have my co-workers and owners using them. They just keep coming out with ones that are better and better, which makes it harder and harder to decide which to buy next. Oh what fun.
