Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my Mom's birthday. She is 82 years old.

We're going to a small local restaurant for dinner tonight. My sister and I are chipping in to buy her an airline ticket to go back to Philadelphia, (our home town,) for a couple of weeks in June. I think it will be good for her to visit family and friends she hasn't seen in a while- maybe even hit the slots in Atlantic City. She loves that!

I made this card for her. I know that today will be a bit bittersweet day for her because amidst the celebration, there will be an empty chair at the dinner table. Those firsts are always so hard.

How do you like that patterned paper?

The background paper and the paper that looks as though it has been cuttlebugged is actually two of the digital patterned papers that you will get for free if you are taking Jessica's online class at StampTV.

We will be offering a class-only option for those who have stamps and papers that they think will work closely enough. The price of the class-only will be $15.00 and you will receive all the free downloads including the step-by-step instructions, the "Floral Elegance" digital paper  pack from the StampTV kit and this new digital paper pack called "Springtime in Paris."

The classroom opens tomorrow and the class-only option will be available then in our online store. If you pay with paypal for the class-only option, you will immediately receive a download with the user name, password and other information for taking the class. If you pay by credit card, we will have to process it first and that may take a day as we have been extremely busy with orders and we process in the order that they are received.

Here is a picture of what "Springtime in Paris" looks like.

For this card, I used the Tropical Flowers stamp set and did a fun technique that makes the flowers appear to be watercolored.

Tomorrow on StampTV, this technique will featured in one of the two brand new episodes! It's easy and fun and gives you a fabulous effect!

Well, off to get a few chores done and then to get ready for my Mom's birthday dinner. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Gina K.
