I really love everything Asela Hopkins draws. She has an uncanny way of being able to draw just about any style you'd ever want. But something very magical happens when Asela decides to draw flowers.
Friendship's Garden
I adore "Friendship's Garden!" The minute I got my hands on these stamps, I gave my Copics a hug! I love to color Asela's flowers with Copics and this particular image seemed to cry out for pink and black!
Luckily, Emily Giovanni had just sent me her newest collection of digital paper called "Softly Spring" and it had exactly the prints and colors I was hoping for! I chose two of the "Softly Spring" papers and went to work.
Check out the shiny black lacquer flower pot! A little fancy Copic work and then a light coating of Crystal lacquer made this pot shine!
Asela always creates beautiful sayings with her stamp sets and this one is no exception. Of course, she added an elegant "Happy Mother's Day" stamp but she wanted to make sure this set was extremely versatile for year round stamping. I chose this verse of friendship to stamp inside of my card.
Isn't that beautiful? I mounted it on to some more of the "Softly Spring" paper to give the inside a finished look.
Both the "Friendship's Garden" stamp set and the "Softly Spring" digital paper pack with be available on Thursday night at 10:00 PM central time in our online store- right after our release party. I will give you more details about the party on Wednesday.

I always love the flower sets. I only have a 2 flower stamps and could always use another. The shading on this card is beautifully done. Love the colors that you've picked.
