One of my very dear friends is super busy!

Joanne Basile has been our Design Team Coordinator for a very long time. But the time has come for her to focus on a few other areas of her life so she has decided to step down as Design Team Coordinator. Luckily, she is staying on the Senior Design Team, (like I would ever allow her to leave...) so, although I am sad to lose her as our coordinator, I am thrilled that she will still be with us! Thank you Joanne, for all of your hard work and dedication to Gina K. Designs as our coordinator. I am thrilled to continue our wonderful working relationship and look forward to many more beautiful Joanne B. creations!

But along with sad news comes some happy developments!

Please welcome our new design team coordinator

Jessica Fick is my right hand girl here in our office and she knows all the inside workings at Gina K. Designs. Her wonderful relationship with our entire team along with her organization skills and incredible talent makes her the perfect choice for this position.

Other new and exciting changes at Gina K. are some additions to our Senior Design Team.

Many of you know Lee Murphy as a moderator over at StampTV. Lee's stamping style impresses me time after time. Everything she creates leaves my jaw on the floor. Her dedication to Gina K. Designs and StampTV led me to ask Lee to join our team. How excited I am that she said yes!

Lynn Mercurio recently accepted a position as our Editor-in-chief of our new Stamping Lifestyle Magazine. But Lynn not only has writing skills, but she has some fabulous stamping skills too! Lynn was one of my very first customers and her dedication and support of Gina K. Designs has never wavered since. How exciting for us that Lynn accepted as position on our Senior Design Team too!

Cathy Tidwell is so talented. I am constantly amazed at the beauty and detail in every project she creates. She has been such an active member on our forums at both Splitcoast and StampTV. A few months ago, she accepted a position to be one of our StampTV Moderators. Her gallery just blows my mind so I was so thrilled when she accepted my offer to join our Senior Design Team.

We have many more exciting things coming for you in the next few months at Gina K. Designs and StampTV.

Today, I thought I would end with a poll and a contest for you. We know that most of you are hooked on the versatility and reliability of deeply etched rubber. (It's absolutely my favorite too!) But there are so many options for mounting your rubber.

So my question is this:

If you had the choice of purchasing our stamp sets without the EZ mount cushion, would you? Now remember, I said "choice." Our EZ mount cushion option is not going away. But we want to know if there is enough interest out there for a bare rubber option. So what do you think?

Leave a your answer in the comments section here and I will randomly choose a winner who will get a set of Nestabilities dies of their choice!

Thank you so much for your opinions. They mean the world to me!

Welcome to our new DT gals!
Have a wonderful day~

Hugs,
Gina K.

I like having the stamps already mounted. However, I also like to stamp the back of the rubber so I can see what I'm stamping, if that makes sense. If I have EZmount on hand it wouldn't matter one way or the other. When I don't have any, then having it come with the stamps is nice. Maybe you could have that as an option when ordering stamp sets. You know, mounted or unmounted. A lot of companies do that. Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

I have mixed feelings. This is my view, if you have the EZ mount stuff available for purchase separate from the actual rubber images, I could go for that. I don't always mind assembling my stamps. Yet, I sure do love the fact that they are already together - expense is the most important issue here for me. If it is less to purchase the rubber and EZ mount stuff separately, I would go for that.
Please make sure that the rubber images do not change in quality of sharp and thickness. They are terrific!
    Sincerely,
    Sher

I unmount alot of my wood mounted stamps, but for storage reasons. Your stamps on the easy mount fit into a case approx the same size as a CD case- so, for me the difference would depend on- is there a price difference? If yes, I would order unmounted if it was significant, and if no price difference, I would order them as they are........

I mostly purchase already wood-mounted stamps. However, I have recently purchased some unmounted stamps to save some money, and room. I have not used the plain rubber nor the EZmount enough to give a good opinion. However, choices are always good, and if I could get a design in plain rubber that I couldn't afford the other way, that would be great.

YES YES YES bare rubber gets my vote. More sets would fit in the binder cases too. Thank you for asking us. As for soem comments mentioned above on time wise. Cutting the stamps as they come now wouldn't be any different time wise to applying ATIO&O on the bare rubber. The stamps would be cheaper with the bare rubber, leaving you more money to buy more in one transaction plus using a 40% coupon on the ATIO&O makes that cost very cheap plus one bottle goes a very long way. Its a win win all the way around, although having the option to buy which you prefer is great.

Also would love to see Tin Set Index Sheets as an option to buy. I'm organizing everything in the binder boxes and the index sheets would be mucho helpful. Photocopying them won't work because they'll turn out darker due to the lid not closing all the way and I am a perfectionist in the way that I want all the deets....like the images, copyright, who designed that sort of thing so just stamping them won't work plus the binder boxes will all be coordinated with the wonderful design you already have in place for them.

I have bought unmounted rubber for years, mainly because it is less expensive. I usually then mount the stamp on foam and my husband cuts wood blocks for me. While is saves time to purchase stamps already mounted or ready to mount, I think one needs the option left open. There are people who don't have the time or the capability to mount the rubber stamps. If you take a way the EZ mount option I think there will be some people who won't buy from you. I understand the need to cut back on costs, but cutting out rubber stamps can be difficult for those who have limited physical abilities to do so and thus you would loose them as customers. I'd most likely still purchase the stamp with the EZ Mount already attached. I generally only buy bare rubber when I have fewer choices, or due to economic reasons (sometimes there's quite a difference between wood-mounted vs EZ Mounted vs bare rubber, as we all know). I do have a lot of bare rubber stamps & the EZ Mount to attach, but I'm slow getting everything cut & put together! So those stamps aren't getting used like the rest.

As to the issue of unmounted or mounted to cling, here is my opinion. While I have bought many, many sheets of unmounted rubber and saved lots and lots of money, saddly, most of those sheets are still sheets. I have all good intentions, but work and life get in my way, so it is a pleasure when I purchase rubber stamps with the cling already mounted. Although I will purchase both and hope to eventually get the unmounted, mounted to E-Z mount.

I love the EZ mount option but would try the bare rubber also. I've only had one experience with bare rubber and it was with SU products which are deeply etched. I'm satisfied with the results of what I've seen and expect your stamps to be high quality rubber. I've unmounted my wood mount stamps to save space. And if the bare rubber was priced cheaper, that would be something to consider.

Boy, this was for me a hard question to answer. I love the cushion of the mounted one, and they are less work, But the unmounted are easier to store and if they are cheaper, I would go that way.
The design on the stamp and quality of material used are the most important to me.
I will say I love any stamp mounted on the reuseble acrylic blocks---cause I can see much better where I am stamping.
Thanks for letting us give you our imput.
And thanks for the chance to win a generous gift of Nestabilities----they are WONDERFUL! AND SO ARE YOU!!!!!

As for rubber only versus cushioned, that's a no-brainer for me. Cushion all the way! I get tired of cutting out stamps anyway, and it sure is easier cutting them from cling foam than from the sticky foam you have to apply to plain rubber yourself, which gums up your scissors constantly. I know some people just go with straight rubber, but it doesn't feel right to me. I need the cushion. To tell the truth, I'd love it if Gina K stamps came already cut out and cushioned!

My favorite is still wood-mounted stamps for the stamps that I use most, because they are easier for me and that's what I started with over 20 years ago; however, as a second choice, I always go for EZ mount on good quality, deeply etched rubber. You can keep the clear polymer stamps for the kids to play with. It's very unfortunate that costs of production have caused some of my favorite stamp companies to lower their standard of quality by producing stamps in clear polymer instead of the reliable rubber that we "seasoned" stampers are accustomed to. With or without EZ mount, please just stick with quality rubber. The REAL stampers don't mind paying for quality! Thanks for insisting on quality that's MADE IN USA!

Gina, I would be thrilled to be able to buy your stamp sets without the ez mount. I tend to use Tack it over and over on my unmounted stamps and store them on laminated sheets in binders. They take up less room and if stamped on a stamp pad there is really no difference in the results. I am so excited that this may become an option with Gina K.

I'm an Australian Stamper who eagerly awaited the start of Stamp TV and have enjoyed the many new friendships made there. I enjoy the tutorials, take part in the challenges. I have some of your products, stamps and paper but not nearly as much as I would like. I love the Ez mount stamps you provide. They stamp out a design beautifully, they are easy to store making them easy to access. Now for the BUT... to buy from you I have to consider not just the exchange rate, the postage which limits me to stamps and perhaps paper only . Then on top of that the bank charges me for the privilege!!
So cost has to be a consideration too as an overseas participant. Not too sure how many Australians you have taking an active part in Stamp TV but I would suggest that this would be a factor.
I would still prefer an EZ mount stamp over a plain rubber stamp but if they stamp out as well and it meant I could buy most of the new releases I would consider them..... perhaps.
Thanks for the chance to have my say.

    Gina,
I prefer naked rubber. As many have stated it is easy to store. I store my zillions and counting LOL stamps in hubless video cases. I then use poster tape to attach to my acrylic blocks. When they get dirty, just toss em in a bowl and clean whenever. No muss or fuss and you can use a piece of tape many times before replacing.
    Creatively....

I have recently unmounted all my wood stamps and put them onto ez mount. I love this system. I have over 200 stamp sets and the space saving advantages of the ez mount system are a must. If you did offer plain red rubber, I'd still mount them on the ez mount cushion. I prefer red rubber for the crispness of the inked image....hands down, anytime over acrylic stamps. I hope that answers the question. Thanx Gina for a chance to win a prize!

Up until 3 months ago I only purchased wood mounted stamps. Then I was given an acrylic stamp set by a friend and needed a block. Since then I have purchased many, many stamps and stamp sets that are not wood mounted. I quickly learned how great the EZ mount is and would definitely say my choice would be to have the EZ mount on the stamps when I purchase them.
