I have a 9 year old boy who loves to be outside playing in the dirt with his cars or fishing. On the other hand, he loves to cuddle with me and if I'm in my "working room" he wants to be there with me making cards. He has made some fabulous cards. I call him my little renaissance boy.

My 5yods loves to stamp. He will color with any medium. We both generally agree on markers, though, because they give him the vivid colors he likes, and aren't as messy as paints. He doesn't usually paint when he stamps because I don't give him wc paper to play with. I have 11 GKD sets, and there are so many that are good for him in just the sets I already have. However, I will say that he likes to give me "mail." I think an office kind of set with different postage stamps for different holidays would be cool. Maybe some bubble letter type words like mom, dad, brother. Kids love to label stuff.

I have been stamping for 10 years and have all kinds of stamps. My 9-yr-old son and 13 year-old daughter both will go into my stamp room and stamp cards for family and friends. My son will generally use stamps his friends will like - nothing he has to color in. My daughter gets creative with her cards and has loved using my punches and watercolors since she is an artist. The only thing I have asked them not to use - my Copic markers! They both like to make valentine cards for school friends and want some "help" but mostly do their own work. It's been a fun way to bond, and it makes it fun to go shopping at the craft stores. They get excited about the new "toys" I find for the stamping room.

I love to stamp with my Kindergarten class. Tops picks for this age would be simple designs they can color in and embellish, smaller stamps that can be used for stamping on tiles, wood frames, pots, and sets that lend themselves to gift giving (for example, Mom's Day or Christmas). They're always SO proud of their creations when they take them home to give

Hi Gina: I'm creating two little crafting monsters with my grandkids. My granddaughter is 5 and loves to come to make "art projects" in the "art room." The little guy is 3 and loves to go through my beads, especially the ones with the alphabets on them. He sorts my alphabet stamps, too. It's just a prelude for his crafting obsession, I'm sure. Thanks for the chance to give us all some goodies!

It never fails when I pull out my stamps and inks to make some cards that I have my two tweens in-tow. They always amaze me at their creativity and they inspire me to just shoot from the hip. It always seems they show me not to put a whole lot of thought into it just wing it and let the juices flow mom. They love the copic marker, clear stamps and of course the ink pads. I do believe lately our favoirte craft item is chipboard. You can never have enough. I think the time that my daughters and I spend together making cards is my favorite time together because it gives us a chance to bond. Who would have ever thought I was the cool stamping, card making Mom?

My grandson Caleb, is 8 years old. He "loves" to be in the craft room. He has made cards for over a year....and does really good. I just let him go...he knows how to use almost all the supplies by himself too....except the heat gun, of course.
Caleb has ADD and he struggles with being bored and being with others, so this is a great outlet for him. Many times when he is fighting with not being able to sit still...crafting helps calm him down...
Thanks for letting me share!

Wow! What an amazing topic...kids, grands & crafts!! I am waiting for a call to pick my granddaughter (5 yrs old) up! Not only will we be going to VBS (I'll be her teacher) and doing swim lessons...she LOVES to stamp! So we will be making Father's Day cards while she is here, among other things. She loves to stamp and make cards...because that's what her Mimi likes to do! She loves to stamp and then color them with markers & colored pencils. I'm going to see about teaching her about the watercolor pencils this time. She loves stickers too and adores embellishments! We have so much fun when Pops is watching TV at night stamping together! Thanks for asking!

Hi Gina! I have 2 boys, ages 6 & 4. They love to do crafts almost as much as their mom. They love to stamp, color (with crayons, colored pencils, markers), use their cuttlekids and dies, scrapbook, make cards, draw, use foam shape cut outs and build with the foam kits and wood building kits which they paint. I don't think their is a craft they don't like to do much to the dismay of their father. Anyway, the boys are great and we have a good time. God bless!

Hi Gina,
Thanks for the incredible opportunity to win this fabulous prize. My grandaughter would be thrilled to win all of these fabulous items. She love art and music, and when she isn't singing, she is coloring or painting. We love to spend quality time together making projects to give to members of the family. She is always so proud of the things she makes. I love the fact that she loves art as it instills creativity in her at a young age. She loves stickers, colored pencils, paint and stamps. I have found her exploring my craft room and wanting to make new projects! Thanks again for the chance to win!

My 2 granddaughters love to make cards and scrapbook. They are 9 and 12. The more stickers on a project the better. Their cards can get quite heavy.

My 2 nieces absolutely LOVE to stamp! I believe I've gotten them hooked. My 7 yr old niece told me that she needs more purple Prisma pencils, because I only got her a 12 pack!!! LOL She even has her own OMS! They also enjoy scrapbooking, they have their own little area and supplies to work in and use. However, they love coming to my house to play with my stuff, and love when I send them images in the mail to color.

Gina.. so funny you should ask this question. I just got back from a "Mom n' Me" stamp camp held by one of my fellow demos. My kids (who are less than 10 yo.) love animals and bugs.. and a "must" for younger kids is solid images. I know kids like to color, but they also have a limited attention span, which is where solid images help. They also LOVE punches and embellishments that are easy to put on (stickers and rhinestones with sticky dots...etc), and so any image that can be punched out with a cool-shaped punch is a great idea!
As a prechool teacher, I make a lot of cards.. so a "kid-themed" card kit that teachers or kids could use would be awesome. Something that includes all of the basics with instruction. Some ideas for solid stamps: robots, aliens, amimals, pirates, princesses, fairies.. and cool sentiments to go with them.
Good luck, I can't wait to see what you all at GinaK Designs create!!
HUGS!!

and... I forgot to all an alphabet stamp. Kids love to stamp their name and see it in ink. Preferable a set that is legible and easy for younger children who are working on letter recognition. Thanks!

My three years old daughter loves to stamp her own image and then do the coloring. I wish I could have the stamps which she could have a better grab with her tiny hands.

HI! My six year old niece likes to make cards for special occasions. She uses markers, crayons, and
embellishments such as glitter, beads, and stickers.
The only stamps she has right now are the packaged
"kiddie" stamps and she prefers the flowers and the
animal/insect stamps. Thanks for the chance to win!

Gina! What a wonderful idea and great way to share the love of crafting!! Most of my crafting with this age is done at our local library... I volunteer and provide different sessions... from cards, to journals, to altered books. I would have to say the teens and tweens really love the journals (altered composition books) as they can select a theme... we've done travel ones for the summer, girly and of course sports for the boys. I think the journals and altered books really allow them to express their creative style and use a number of forms of media.. stamps and ink, designer papers, various embellishments, etc. I think the most rewarding thing is many of the particpants in these sessions are not normally exposed to this type of crafting nor are they in the position to purchase many of the craft items... so volunteering and getting various donations really helps us out to provide great craft experiences for kids!
Thanks for all you do to provide inspiration to all of us!!

Do they like to stamp?
My ten year old step daughter is really getting into stamping. I have a stampers 10 club and she is our honourary 11th member. She hasn't missed a night yet.
What do they like to create?
Taygan likes to make cards but she also makes fabulous scrapbook 'cards'. When a special event is coming up, ie her older sisters birthday, she likes to make a card but it ends up being more of a scrapbook. She takes 8 1/2" x 11 cardstock (about 10 pages), raids my alphabet stickers and embellishments and prints off photos she would like in her card and she puts together this big long card. LOL - It really is great.
Do they make cards, scrapbook pages, 3-D items?
Taygan likes all of it. I always have different projects on the go and when she sees what I'm doing, she wants to do it too.
What kinds of tools do they like to use?
Any tool is great but I would say the 3 main tools are the Sizzix Big Shot, the Cropadile Big Bite 2 and the embossing heat gun.
Pencils, watercolors, markers?
All of them, if she can get her hands on them she'll use them but right now she and I are playing with Copics. Yep, I let her use them.
Is it a fun bonding time with you or do they prefer to craft with their friends?
For us it is a great bonding time. I think it has brought us much closer over the past year.
What style stamps are their favorites?
Line images that can be coloured in.
Do they like stamps of flowers, animals, people, shapes?
I would definitely say animals are her favorites. She is always trying to convince me to buy cute animal stamps.

My 15 year old granddaughter delights in my stamping space and loves to create something new every time she visits. She puts all of my purchases to use making cards and always spots any new purchase on my shelves or in my drawers. She does scrap booking at home so I often shop for some pretty papers for her at gift giving time.

My 4 y/o son loves to make cards using my stamps, punchers & scraps. He opens the inkpad, ink the stamp (w/o inking the wood/acrylic block), makes sure that the lid is tightly closed, then stamps the image on his paper. He stamps like a pro. LOL.
We also buy those $1.50 ceramic figurines at Michael's too & he uses my paints to paint them. I love bonding with him that way.
Can't wait what projects for kids you guys come up with!

I love everything that you show. My kids are in their 20 too busy with working and going to school. But I love to share card making with the senior adults at my church. We have Secret Sisters and the Pastor's wife and I show sample cards to copy or add to it for the ones that can. We make all holiday cards, birthdays and anniversaries to get us through the year. We are getting ready to make the new set this fall so we can have them finished before the holidays start. Love all your videos--they teach us so much.
