Arranged with Love

Last year, Melanie Muenchinger designed one of the most versatile sets of flowers that I've seen. It's called "A Year of Flowers" and it enables you to have the perfect flower for any season. When she presented the idea to me last summer at the CHA, I thought it was a fabulous idea.

Then, one day, she used that set and tons of masking to make a beautiful collage. She sent it to me and I thought, "Well, that is beautiful, but it looks like a ton of work." (Plus, I wasn't sure I could make it look that good.) Then I read her magic words- "What do you think about doing this a one big stamp?" Woo-hoo! That I can do! LOL!

Introducing "Arranged with Love." This is one big beautiful collage that has an opening for the perfect greeting! And of course, Melanie thought of all the perfect greetings. They are included in this set and they all fit perfectly in the opening.

This set is beautiful when colored with Copics or pencils and I know the senior design team will show you just what I mean with their sneak peeks. But I decided to do something a little different.

I wanted to show you how easy it is to make a quick and easy card with this fabulous set! I used our new Pure Luxury Soft Sand and some Versamark ink.

(Pictured on our new 6 X 6 gridded acrylic block.)
I embossed it with Ranger detail embossing powder in black. Then, using my Niji water brush and bleach, I painted just the flowers and the inside of the box with bleach.

I was so surprised at the beautiful color the the bleach created with the Pure Luxury Soft Sand card stock.

I love how fast you can make these cards yet they still look so elegant and finished. This stamp makes creating a gift boxed set of cards super fast and you barely have to layer at all!

You can also use this stamp as a background stamp by place a different focal image over the box. And, the greetings are a nice size--perfect for other projects too!

To learn more about how to do the bleaching technique, check out this StampTV episode-
Bleach as a coloring tool.

Bug me Anytime

Nina Brackett has created one of the cutest bug sets I have ever seen! Those cute little faces and the trendy flower and leaf elements are just fabulous and fun!

For my first project, I thought it would be cute to put a bug in a plant for gift giving. I have a friend who is going through some stuff and I thought a lucky Jade plant with an open invitation to vent whenever she wants may be just what she needs.

The little bug and the greeting all lined up easily on the acrylic block and I stamped them all at once.

I used a wooden skewer from a bag  of them that I purchased at the grocery store. These would look cute in cupcakes too! To make your bow stay up, add a glue dot to the stick and then tie the ribbon on. The glue dot will hold it really well.

I also make this card.

Check out that gorgeous paper! That is one of two new digital papers designed by Nina Brackett. This one is the bright collection and she also created a pastel version. They coordinate with the "Bug me Anytime" stamps.

I added three brass nail heads, another new product we will be debuting on Thursday night. These are self-adhesive and can be added to any project without worrying about hiding the back. They are a lot flatter than brads, which makes them easier to mail too!

The best way to remove these from the plastic sheet is to cut them. I cut mine with the new Tonic retractable knife. I actually cut three at once and just applied them like that. This way, I didn't have to worry at all about spacing since they are already evenly spaced on the plastic sheet.

Did you see my sewing on my card? Well this week's StampTV episodes are all about sewing with the Janome Sew-mini! You can sew like this too and it's super easy! Check out
StampTV for all the latest.

To learn how to highlight your focal image, check out this StampTV episode-
Highlighting with Nestabilities
