The Journey
When I first saw Asela Hopkin's new set, "The Journey," I was absolutely floored. My first thought was- "*Squeal* I get to play with those stamps? YAY!" Although I am totally in love with that big ole' truck image, I chose to show you another image today.
I love doors. There is something so welcoming about a door. They are the threshold to our sanctuaries, our places of comfort and peace, safety and warmth.
For this card, I decided to make a woodgrained background using my Scor-pal and the woodgraining technique from StampTV.
Then, I stamped the image on Pure Luxury Ivory card stock with Memento Ink and colored the image with Copic markers.
This set is full of the perfect images for Copics, colored pencils or watercolors. You can stamp a bunch of the different images and sit on the couch and color all night. And a nice stash of colored images like these make quick and easy cards because, when you have images this beautiful, what else does the card really need? LOL!

When you see how many different wishes you can send with these stamps, this will be your number one go to set!
I decided to go for a clean and simple look for this card.
I used Soft Sand, Chocolate Kiss and White Pure Luxury card stock for this project. I stamped the images in Versamark and then embossed them using our new Stampendous detail white embossing powder.
"Wishing you" is a separate greeting and then you add another word or words to complete the phrase. There is an "&" sign which allows for mixing.
You can say "Wishing you joy," "Wishing you peace" or you can combined the two and say "Wishing you joy & peace." (Perfect for the Holidays!)
This set is great when you need one quick card or eight cards to make the perfect boxed gift set.
And the best part is, it's free when you purchase any three stamp sets in one order.

I love all of these, but as I was scrolling down and saw that door, and then saw the saying to go with it.
'Prayer is the key to Heaven, but faith unlocks the door. Words are so easily spoken, but prayer without faith is like a boat without an oar.' I have sung this song some many times in church, I loved when Jake Hess sang this song.

I love the door and the truck and the seed flower. Will this be a set that you sold like last month. I have made the hot air balloon as you taught and the flower basket. I absolutely love that "blow away" flower/weed. What is that thing called? Regardless it looks beautiful done with the white fine embossing powder. You get a sense of how delicate and beautiful the flower is. Love it! Love it!

The Journey stamps portray everything I love to share. Soft summer memories of blowing dandelions, riding in the back of beat up old pickup trucks around the farm, thick dust flying behind us. Front doors that open to the smells of apple pie or beans being canned....oh, yeah, sharing these memories with these stamps will be so much fun for me. Thank you Asela - and thank you Gina. The door coloring and background wood effect is amazing. You did and incredible job. I love the card. The free with 3 set is to die for, now go ahead an twist my arm, I guess I'm going to have to buy 3 sets this month. From the previews I don't think that is going to be to hard to do.

The stamps are so perfect to use with copic markers. I just got some markers and then discovered that the stamps I have are not much the kind you color! Now I have been hunting.......these are perfect! Please pick me, I really need to practice and I love all those images.

Wow, I love your samples! They are perfect in every way. I'm loving that snippet of the truck stamp, it makes me think of (and miss) my Daddy who had (and dearly loved!) a truck like that. I'm so looking forward to seeing that stamp set just for that very reason. I also love the simplicity but versatility of the Many Wishes set. I love that kind of set that you can use for different things, makes it so worth the money! As usual, I'm impressed with your team's designs and your creativity!

That door looks wonderful! I love the colors you used on that card, it really came out lovely. Although, I must say I can’t wait to see what else comes with the door and the truck! Hi! I am new here. Asela Hopkin's new set, "The Journey" is WOW!!!!! The front door stamp is gorgeous. I so want this stamp so I can recreate this card for Sympathy cards. It is very comforting and peaceful to those who have lost a loved one. Another favorite of mine is a comforting and peaceful quote on a sympathy card that says "Don't think of them as stars. Think of them as porch lights welcoming your loved one home." This door stamp and prayer quote ranks right up there with that!

These look like great sets, but I can't help but think the Free with Three set is very similar to the Make a Wish set from 2007. The Make a Wish set doesn't seem to be on the website anymore, so maybe this is a re-release? or something?

I love Asela's The Journey and the new Many Wishes stamp sets. I really like how the Many Wishes set has dual fonts that are great for combining sentiments on card or a scrapbbok page. I also want to thank you for stamp TV. I have learned so much by watching it and I really appreciate the time that you take to explain everthing so thoroughly. Great job!
