Mess-free Glitter!

As much as I love glitter- it can be messy.

Using loose glitter, my husband used to show up at the law firm with glitter in his hair. How that happened, I will never know! And Stickles glitter glue took care of that problem, but it can take a while to dry and it's hard to get into super tiny areas.

The answer- Stardust Pens by Sakura.

Today on StampTV, you will learn three different ways to apply Sakura Stardust Pens  to your projects to get exactly the colors you want.

Stardust pens come in 12 gorgeous, sparkling colors along with clear.

It's almost impossible to catch the shimmer of these pens in a still photo because shimmer requires slight movement which isn't possible in a photo. Make sure you watch the video to the end to see the final close up of how this card sparkles! You won't believe it!

Easy to use, fast drying, brilliant sparkle and best of all- easy on the wallet!

Check out this week's glittering episode here: Adding glitter with Stardust pens

Make it a great day!
Hugs,
Gina K.

Gina, I love stardust glitter pens.

Here's another tip: You can use them to watercolor too! In a class, we used Peel Off gold or silver shaped stickers, lay them on cs, have your wet brush ready at hand to quickly, line the inside edge of the design of the sticker, quickly going over with watercolour brush to spread the glitter pen while it's still wet. It dries quickly so do small sections of your sticker. You could also outline any of your favourite stamps and do the same I would think. You will get a darker colour on the edge and lighter inside your image from the water spreading it out.

Also, I had a snowflake dp, with fine greyish lines outlining the snowflakes, so I used the clear stardust pen to go over all the outlines to make the background paper stand out. There is a slight hint of silver in the clear, but not very much. Then I used the burgundy to outline the burgundy snowflake on the dp. The background DP was turned from regular to sparkly without all the fuss and mess.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful tool, Gina...I've used these pens for a long time and I LOVE how I can get in those tiny spaces and how I can doodle my own designs on things like butterfly wings. And that tidbit about Tom and the sparkles...hilarious!!
