The purpose driven stamper & A Year of Leaves blog hop.
Today, while I was in the grocery store, I was waiting in the check-out line and I happened to stumble upon one of my favorite crafting magazines- Craft's and Things.
I wondered why I hadn't gotten this issue yet, but I think it was a sign from above. As I stood in the express lane for about an hour, I decided to scan it before I got home just to whet my appetite for all that crafting goodness that was jam packed inside.
That's when I stumbled upon an article that featured stamp companies that created stamps for different charities. And guess whose mug was at the top of one of the pages? Mine! LOL!
You know we've created stamp sets for Autism, The Make a Wish Foundation and Diabetes along with some of our illustrators who have designed sets for Feed the Children and Alzheimer's.
So this article got me thinking about our A Year of Leaves blog hop tonight and the real reasons that I started stamping to begin with.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Melanie Muenchinger created this gorgeous set of stamps, just in time for Autumn, filled with beautiful leaves that go WAY beyond the fall. It will have you making cards well though next summer.
But one of the things I love most about this set is the encouragement that I feel whenever I pick up one of these images or sayings. This is exactly the kind of stamp set that I use all the time, whenever I want to send a card to lift someone up.
So I made this card for a very special family.

It's clean and simple and has a purpose. This is my card that I am sending to Kate's family.

My friend Jennifer McGuire is doing something wonderful- something with a huge purpose. There is a little 5 year old girl named Kate that was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer.
Jennifer has put together a card drive to flood this family with love. All you have to do is make one card for Kate or her family and send it to Jennifer. Jennifer randomly chooses cards as they come in and those card makers will win some fabulous prizes donated by many companies including Gina K. Designs.
We have donated a Stamp TV kit! You can use the prize voucher for the current kit or the next one, coming out at the end of September. It's a $49.95 value and all you have to do is what you love to do anyway- make a card and send it.

Another thing I love about A Year of Leaves is that you can use it to make colorful dramatic cards but it also allows for clean, elegant cards that are quickly mass produced for autumn holidays, batches of thank you cards, boxed card sets and so much more.

Coming up on Friday, another fabulous blog hop and another wonderful purpose for stamping! Make sure you stop back!
There's more to come~
Hugs,
Gina K.
