Favorite Summer Memories- Team Blog Hop
Tonight, we've put together a special blog hop for you featuring the new stamp sets from our last release. And we are all so excited by this month's Team challenge.
The challenge . . .
I challenged the team to create a project that depicts a favorite summer memory. With so many great memories of summer, choosing just one is the hardest part of this challenge!
Here is my project for this month's challenge:
My favorite summer memory dates back to when I was just a young girl in grade school. My best friend Donna and I would sit in the grass in the backyard where all of my Mom's beautiful flowers were blooming and we would talk about all of our deepest darkest secrets. The sun felt so warm and we would braid wildflower chains and talk for hours. She was my closest friend and the one I could always talk to.
So I decided to use the new One free with 3 stamp set called Friends are Forever and create my own flower garden with the perfect sentiment to depict those times.

Card Stock: Green Apple, White
Patterned Paper: Green at Heart by Basic Grey
Other: Nestabilities, Copic Markers

The card depicts great design quality. It would be just as beautiful as a black and white. I would add ribbon...perhaps fushia with the b$w.

My favorite memory of Summer was after we made hay all day my mom went into town and got a jug of root beer and some watermelon and we ate it out on the lawn and then went down to the creek and went swimming! It was the little things in life that make life good!

What a delightful card to go along with a delightful story, Gina! I loved to spend a few days with my grandparents and read library books while they took an afternoon nap. When they woke up we all watched The Secret Storm! No air conditioning and the hum of lawn mowers in the background...

Great blog hop as always. You card is gorgeous!
Thank you for letting us use any GKD sets. I had a hard time choosing a summer memory until I started to think about how my scrapbooking has suffered. Then it hit me... I was married in the summer (like most teachers)and that was certainly a favorite memory. So, I dropped all my card ideas and went for it.

Ok... I wasn't going to submit another card for this... but.... it just turned out that this reminded me of my summer too. LOL Or... my mom's work one summer that I use to have fun visiting. So, it was hard to submit just the one. *smile*

well.. not sure if I made it or not (I can never remember with the time difference the cutoff times)was busy CASEing Melanie's ocean in a bottle for fathers day gifts (have to make 4: 1 for DH, 1 for my Dad, 1 for FIL and 1 for my stepfather). If not oh well.. there's always next time!!
