Blast from the Past week

This month, instead of releasing new stamp sets, we decided to get you using some of the wonderful Gina K. Designs stamps you already have in your collection by featuring some of our favorite releases from the past.

Each day this week, we will feature sets from our various illustrators.

Tonight, I am pleased to share a couple of my favorite stamp sets from Melanie Muenchinger and Nina Brackett.

Featuring Just so Hippy by Melanie Muenchinger

Just so Hippy was the very first stamp set that we released by Melanie Muenchinger and it still holds a VERY special place in my heart.



Aside from the fact that the images in this set are totally adorable, this set represents the beginning of a wonderful friendship between us that I know will last a lifetime.

Melanie has been there for me since almost the beginning of Gina K. Designs and she put her trust in my little company to develop her illustrations. She has been so very successful as a stamp illustrator and as a published designer in magazines and books. It's been amazing watching her grow and seeing her many styles of art get turned into stamp sets that you all love so much. She's got a huge fan club and I am one of her biggest fans!

I used Just so Hippy to create a card to send to my daughter while she is away at LaCrosse camp.



Who'd of thought you could miss a kid so much in only one day! Melanie made it easy for me to express my feelings to her in a way that will make her smile.

Featuring Fine Furnishings and Fine Furnishings Additions by Nina Brackett

When Nina Brackett contacted me and we first talked on the phone, we both quickly realized that God had a plan for us and he wanted us to carry it out together.

This lovely artist, working from her home in Croatia where she is also a Christian missionary, touched my heart with her art, her story and by the example she sets each day. She is an accomplished designer, published in all of the hottest magazines yet she remains humble and so down to earth. I truly cherish our friendship and I always will.



I love these stamp sets. They are so fresh and trendy and the greetings lend a certain elegance to the adorable images Nina has created.



And since I LOVE to paper piece, these sets allowed me to use some of the new Olivia paper by Basic Grey that we will be adding to the store this week. (We also have Oliver too!)

Today, the design team has chosen their favorite sets by Melanie and Nina and they have created some beautiful projects for you! 

The entire Gina K. Designs team would like to invite you to a virtual Release party we'll be having this Thursday, August 5th on StampTV.  It will be a bit different than our usual release party, but we'll still have challenges, contest questions, and designer samples that you won't want to miss out on!  I'll share more about the event later this week.
